I thought that too, fig
There were some other tunes in the NF that would have been much better imho. |

A personal fave for being a piece of pure ESC lunacy/joy incorporating 'Funk Soul Brother'

Too many words and no flute

True. Finland decent enough though bands have a poor record

Manga the last one to do well?
By:
Yep, backed the Finnish winning song fig. Only a small win as hard to get much down. I dutched it with Mikko which came 2nd. Actually preferred that Mikko song from a personal pov to the winner.

Killers/Coldplay medley....more a chorus than a song but better than Switzerland who will never win till they start fighting some wars
By:
I like it. I've had my 1st back
By:
Finland that is. Quite like Switzerland too

Finland is very rock-lite. Those 'oohh-oohh-oohh-oh-oohh-oh's are straight out of Coldplay's Viva La Vida. Denmark, 'A Friend In London' - 2012 - a similar type of tune, & that finished 5th. Funnily enough, they just announced they have split up this week. Lead singer best remembered for this moment

Right, Superbowl done and dusted - I'm now set for 100 days of ESC-aholism. It's great the way betting/events now just control my life 52 weeks of the year! LOL
@ johnnyrant - Denmark, 'A Friend In London' - 2012. These were in fact 2011. Took me a while to remember who the Dane act for 2012 was and then it came to me. One of the favourites pre-ESC but failed pretty miserably. Can you recall it? My little quiz for the day. Do we have any potential Loreens/Eric Saades in the Swedish Melodifestivalen yet? |
By:
You are spot on, honest - Soluna Samay 2012 - 'Should've Known Better'.
She was really under the weather with flu & couldn't perform the song very well, but it was surprisingly roundly snubbed. This could have been a gem but sadly Alvaro couldn't sing it well enough live so it didn't make it through. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0XbyO8dumQ |

Just listed to a few of the potential German songs - very very strong so far. They are going to be a huge threat whoever they pick
