Ridiculous decision, this was the first market that had potential this morning with 4 runners and a live AO.
not surprising that nobody is bothering with the eviction markets apart from the small amount of people who can still bet the high street and probably arb it out here for pennies. |

Not particularity great for me. I was only red on Dan. If he wasn't safe from the next eviction, Wolfy wouldn't be either. Had a nice green on Wolfy and Any Other. Could have easily got Dan, Wolfy and Any Other level green before next nomination.
However, there was betting on a rumour in the press, then on a comment by Marcus, then on the actual cancellation of this weeks eviction. So the decision to void is fair. |

The fact that AO is usually matched at a 1000 and yesterday people wanted 29 , is that not part of the game ? , it is factored in surely.
I thought that was what it was added for , to add a bit of spice to the market for people who wanted to take a chance on a twist. Anyway no bets for the bulk of us again this week, back to the tennis. |

As jr says, it would be much better if we went back to the good old days of betfair opening the eviction market on the Friday night, listing all the names and only suspending when the lines close the following Friday. Or don't close, as the case was this week |

AO is good in case house mates are added after the market opens. However, in this case, the process was changed.

These markets are driven by rumours. Without the twists they wouldn't be half as much fun. If betfair would let us play the game (as they used to) then some of the liquidty might return. |

As for insider money. I suspect over 90% of those who work on the show wouldn't even know how to place a bet and the few % who do wouldn't risk their well paid jobs for £50, or something similar

Sure, seems to be some inconsistencies. However, this weeks rumours were taken as gospel by some and unknown to others. The whole thing was a mess tbf.

I agree FLL I preferred it when we had anything goes markets, just list them all and let us get on with it.
I never had any inside info, so just made my own decisions on how the market looked and enjoyed the false movers and all the games. The problem is it seems someone always screams foul to betfair when anything slightly changes and it does not go their way. We are all adults and should have a clue of what we are doing with our money , so let us get on with it. If someone wanted a grand at 8s on AO yesterday , it is a bad situation that if you know you can get the market void the market you can lay the grand without fear of losing, if the normal eveiction goes ahead you have laid 8s on a 1000 shot and if the twist kicks in you phone up and get it voided, it is not right. |

As there has been a change in the established eviction procedure, the Big Brother 2013 3rd Eviction market has been voided. There hasn't been a change to the procedure ffs. The 3rd eviction WILL still happen, just next week, not this, and surely by a public vote still. If it's not by public vote, THEN by all means void the market, but as Any Other was listed I am just gobsmacked they have voided the market, and so quickly too. Probably won't get eviction markets in future until days after voting has started. |

As GB1 has said, the rules are so long winded and vague, they can do whatever they like and point to that particular phrase to cover themselves.
"The market will not be actively managed until the voting lines closed" - WRONG "If there is no eviction during the scheduled eviction show, the market will be reopened at the end of the show..." - WRONG |
