Anyone got the running order for tonight?
This is a tough semi and can't help but thinking a big gun won't qualify....Holland? |
|
By:
I'm hoping and to an extent expecting a shock or two tonight. The tweaks to this years voting combined with the poor draw for the overall favourites in this particular semi I think means its on.
Voting allies wise Russia and Serbia would normally be all but secure by my calculations; jury wise the likes of Netherlands should be secure of its qualification. I'm happy to sit this out betting wise mainly because I don't have the slightest idea which of the likes of Austria, Belgium, Montenegro Estonia Latvia Cyprus Slovenia is going to take the 10th placa and/or replace one of the current betting top 10 Hunches? Belarus might struggle to qualify and as personal preferences Austria and belgium I hope make it |

Oh and for Clay...

The drift on Belgium is a worry. Hopefully the vaginal rubbing didn't put the juries off

Holand in trouble coming after a trio of Denmark, Russia and Ukraine

Save the best til the last.
I've had to have some more on Belgium and just hope the drift isn't informed money. It rarely is |

The strangest move I saw was on Austria in 2010?
Backed down to single figures ir. Then when the voting lines had closed you couldn't give it away. Someone clearly knew it had bombed in the pv |
|
By:
The "to qualify" prices are terrible on here, lower than High St + commission. Don't recall the markets in last years semis, does anyone remember if there was much action?
|
|
By:
the liquidity is better Jacob once it gets running but a lot of people to an extent are 'buying money' tonight so dont expect much generosity on the 'stone wall' qualifiers.
|
|
By:
Thanks bex, I remember the Final being good, but don't think I played the semi IR. I want to get some down on Moldova, but there isn't enough up on here and its still 1.2 on High St.
Oh well, may just sit and watch |
|
By:
Moldova now shorter than Netherlands to qualify!
|
|
By:
Damnit Ireland. Backed them at 110 and then dumped them now 70's wahhhh. Our best song in years.
Laying the top 3 to qualify tonight for entertainment purposes. |
|
By:
I've backed Ireland in most markets.
My one worry was the live performance but it has come across well live. |

http://instagram.com/p/ZS-f1Np7y9/# Clearly Austria doesn't send everyone to sleep. It's one of the best 3 or 4 songs in this semi. Just a shame about the draw and the lack of friends. |

Just on here catching up after last night's SF1. No one appears to have seen Serbia's shock exit coming or Croatia for that matter. Just pleased Belarus got through - my only bet but quite a few on here were putting that down as a lay which had me concerned.
Prior to last night, 29 of the previous 30 qualifiers were the predicted ones betting-wise, but last night was a bit of a carve up, which now makes me wonder how much of a factor the new scoring rules are. Did Croatia suffer from next to no public vote despite (we suspect) a decent jury vote - something that in previous years would have been covered by the jury score to get them through? I also grew to like Montenegro but I suspect it bombed with the juries - again, bombing on just one side of the equation could have dire results, whereas under previous rules, if you bombed on one side, at least around half of the others bombed with you. Makes me more inclined to look for outsider rather than attempt to buy money. |
|
By:
Given the way Croatia drifted before the show, I strongly suspect it did poorly with the juries and Estonia did rather well.
|
|
By:
Russian price drift...Result of a poor draw or a leak of the semi final results?
|
|
By:
Poor draw I reckon. It's price has stabilised & shortened a little from last night
