wish they would leave the videos run for a few seconds longer to fully get the audience reaction.  Picked up a couple of clues but it is frustrating when it just cuts out.

I'm glad Italy haven't gone with any dancing girls.
Hard to tell much from that video but keeping the focus on the singers rather than gimmicks has generally been a winning formula of late.
Italy is still the best male ballad and Marco the most voteable.
Not having a guy in a glass box doesn't change that.

George's 'none of them can win,' does have some merits.  Normally at this point I'm urging people to have a punt on a certain country (last year Romania, year before that Georgia e/w and Top Ten) usually losing people a few quid in the process!

Probably a good thing for people's wallets that I don't have a set pick this year!!  Ha ha.

Been a layer barring small bets on Azer and Belarus based on first listens/vote power (in Azer's case) but been a year for laying.

Gut instinct is to lay Denmark simply because of the price in a 39 horse race but basically keeping that small green after my Loreen losses last year.

funkypunk's latest ESC musings:

i love the Serbian entry, Norway, Ukraine and Russia…Denmark will obviously be around to spoil the party for me no doubt :-( it’s not a bad entry but it just does not appeal to me personally (my daughter likes it thou).
My main bet is Serbia @ 4/1 “top Balkan” with StanJames, got 220 @betfair to win, will also be backing Serbia top 3,5 & 10.
Norway are my only other win bet.
A lay of Greece for top10 i just can’t resist, an appaulingly poor entry in my opinion.

Looking at twitter I'm not sure we've learnt much more during the rehearsals.
Denmark get the 1st ad break (the swines)
Bit of a mixed response for Ukraine & Belarus. Those who didn't like the Netherlands still don't, those who love it still do. Lithunaia not great

I've not even heard all the songs but months ago I looked at the market & Azerbaijan kept hitting me, so without even hearing their song I bet on it.
I then had a dream..... I was looking at my mobile phone as I'd recieved a text and it said Italy, so I've also had a bet on Italy LOLLaugh. It's worked in the past for me, so we shall see!

Some what pleased with my Azer bet as they have really come in, sure last week they were about 70+. Only heard a few songs so far, really like the netherlands and not keen on Denmark.

Yes odd. I was optimistically (it seems) hoping the two would converge in my favour. Playing poker tomorrow so will miss the semi.  In the past being away from here when it got to the business end would have worked in my favour. My guess is I come home to find her at 10.5 Sad
