I must be the only "expert" on here to lose money on this market!
By:
Noooooooo
How come you didn't pile on yesterday Alan? |
By:
no funds in my account and the fwits at my bank declined the transaction, I am sooooooo busy at work, did 18 hours yeaterday, so I just crashed when I got in!! Oh well, I'll try and make a quick 10%
By:
Oh no, Alan! We're all profiting from your info, so I do hope you come out on top!
By:
Small margins, but able to get some more on at 1/4 and 1/5 this morning. Every little helps!
By:
ah, I'll not lose sleep, small reds

CAn see why it hasn't gone Alan's way, when the sales figures came out yesterday I still had it close well closer than the dds. What turned it round was the high court decision and the publicity that followed its that which made the JCs a 1/8 .i was poised for a further bailout this morning but to only gai 11k sales on the publicity they've had is frankly disappointing. Had a reccy of my bets last night and I'm +700 James -£400 justice so will take my loss if they get beat but happy I've not done much wrong, other than not being aware of and factoring in the high court case.

I think this media takes a few days to filter into sales so can only see JC pulling further away |
By:
The inquest verdict rather than sales was the deciding factor for me yesterday morning.
But remember JA has a day's advantage over JC. JC has actually outsold him all three days by a decent enough margin, although I agree you'd expect them to be well ahead after today. |
By:
I agree GB - the effect of the news will not have impacted on sales much yesterday. I'd expect a spike today and another peak on Saturday. Last minute Christmas stocking fillers will likely favour James, but at £2 vs £4 there's only one winner in my book...
By:
I don't think I would bet the farm @1.1 that the JC will do it

1. 146433 (NEW) - JUSTICE COLLECTIVE
2. 132101 (-59.1%) - JAMES ARTHUR |

JC 36730
JA 25790 |

Jimmy on a downward trend
By:
JC outsold JA by 3/2 yesterday, but had loads of press, I think the JC are very likely winners but the sales yesterday will be dwarfed by the sales on Sat.
By:
I don't have physical sales figures for either, but I think you are all overestimating physical sales, ie Saturday won't be relevant
By:
What is the usual % uplift on Saturdays?
About 75% from my retail past iirc in xmas week, not as high as normal weeks, but that wouldn't affect DL's much |
By:
Might have actually been less cos a lot of hols have already started and people like to avoid that Saturday rush
By:
Saturday is no longer our busiest day, although we may be a litle strange
By:
The impact of the press would not have been felt yesterday necessarily Mach. More likely from today onwards. I would certainly expect a bigger spike in tomorrow's figures, but the key is one is still growing, the other in decline (unsurprisingly perhaps after last week's huge volume of sales). On this basis you'd have to expect a fairly comfortable victory for JC, by probably a 50k margin.

pretty dire weather...not helping physical sales

wo, someone just moved the market!
By:
Question is - insider spike?
By:
big volume there
By:
Doubt if there is any more info than what alan kindly posts for us. kworb suggesting a momentum shift?
By:
Not suggesting it is but I've been watching markets for sometime and heavy spikes are (usually) either fat fingers or insiders
By:
It's a bot.
By:
Moved from .9062 to .9882 in 2.5 hours not sure what that means in the whole picture but James could be outselling them soon.
By:
James has a more sustainable/flatter sales curve, imo. TJC might still need something in their locker.
By:
James had 75k first two days, then 31k then 26k. Doesn't look like a sustainable, flatter sales curve to me...

It's this, it's that, it's the other
Just someone greening up |
