Someone could get crushed under the weight of unsold singles
![]() Well, not anymore 1.2 looks about right until tomorrow |
|
By:
Goodness me - matched down to 1.25!

|
By:
the only thing the race for xmas number one had done for me is to tie up my cash with the HS books as I bet one way then the other, for vey little profit

also true
But many cannot touch a single one |

Game over I'd have thought. With the publicity from today's verdict the single is guaranteed more airplay over the next 48 hours.
I can see the campaign going full throttle now, the single will be used as a tag on to all the news stories tonight, so momentum all with the JC. |
|

Thanks again Alan. Always incredibly useful to have your timely input...
|
|
By:
Indeed. Seems to have caught a few on the hop and we'll probably see covering of Jimmy bets
|
|
By:
It looks like I've missed all the fun.

The people of Merseyside are going to go out and buy this single to ensure they get it to number one by Sunday I would have thought.
|
|
By:
Mebbe. I still say if it had Baloney on it it would never have traded above 1.05

Really don't know which way to go now definite momentum with the Justice C, but I'm not going in short doing that put me in this position thanks to the Liverpool echo
will probably sit it out unless an edge appears, for a small red Justice small green on James. |
|
By:
James has surely peaked...
theres an official chart update on radio 1 at 4pm today |
|
By:
That'll just be this news?
Looks like JC will go lower |
|
By:
Easy money done on this now but that really was straighforward - thanks alanjz - where did you get that info so early?
|
|
By:
Discussing the song on Five Live now with producer Guy Chambers.

|
By:
Straightforward, nigel? I've been on a rollercoaster! JC matched between 1.1 and 2.0, A/O matched between 1.8 and 7.6! You must have played it much better than me, and, now that the end game seems in sight, I'm very happy to get out with 2 small greens.

Sorry, forgot the annual thanks to alanjz.

I think he just means he lumped on this morning, simple when that was your first bet I guess

Sure everyone is aware of this, but just to note that physical copies of the JC are retailing at £2 compared to £4 for James Arthur.
Spoke to the manager at my local HMV (admittedly in NW in Chester) and he says that JC are outselling JA 3:1 in their store so far this week. |

Sure everyone is aware of this?

With JA selling so many in the first week as well and the Hillsborough news - PS I'm no expert in these markets but that was a gifthorse - albeit not much could be staked earlier.

HMV Liverpool One tweeted earlier they had sold 11,000 JC singles, and had plenty more in stock.

The Justice Collective’s Hillsborough tribute single has extended its lead over X Factor winner James Arthur, but 2012 Christmas Number 1 is by no means over.
According to the Official Charts Company’s latest sales data, The Justice Collective’s cover of He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother has increased its lead over James Arthur’s Impossible after its first four days on sale. The all-star group, who are raising funds and awareness for the ongoing legal battle of the families of the Hillsborough tragedy, started the week trailing the X Factor winner by 3,000 copies. Yesterday (Wednesday, December 20) The Justice Collective surged ahead of James Arthur by 3,400, and today they have extended their lead to 14,000 copies with sales of 146,000 vs Arthur’s 132,000. |
