Load of rubbish, a video of the incident came out that showed she said nothing of the sort.

I've piled on George (25/1 with PP the other day?!), with a bit on Arthur too. Most of the boys names can be rules out for one reason or another.

For the girls there are more likely possibles, but many of the favourites can still be ruled out. Elizibeth and Alice most likely imo with Charlotte and Alexandra outside chances

Fun market! I have way too much on George considering...

Philip v Phillip

Surely the first should be a lot shorter than the 2nd? No way are they going to spell the name wrongly
and the queen's husband is called Philip.

I've been doing some analysis on the date of the baby's birth (see Oddschecker for prices). It seems to me that
PP have a quite different view from the others. Maybe they're right, but I've had a pretty big bet by my standards
and I'm prepared to eat value sandwiches.

They go 4.0 (3/1) about the 15th-21st July. The other bookies with markets have the following prices (best available, all
decimal): 13, 13, 11, 12, 13, 19, 19.

Now, a quick calculation in a spreadsheet shows that 13, 13, 11, 12, 13, 19, 19 add up to just under evens. Allow for
the fact that they're betting to 160% and you get about 13/8.

PP have the preceding week as their favourite, but they are out of step with all the others. I reckon I'm getting 3/1
a 7/4 chance so I'm happy to risk it.

ooops no need for me to have TTT'd the birth thread.  Hope its not Alexandra as Mrs B and son are (unlike me) royalists and they gave me this as an option when it was big odds.

William And Kate / Annoucement To Be Retweeted Under 50000 Times Within 24 Hours Of Birth

Evens. Surely people will be retweeting from other accounts than Clarennce House! To date it only has 216K followers. Obama set the record on his re-election with 3.2% of his followers retweeting. A similar % from Clarence House would be circa 7K.

Cider/FLL

This market caught my eye also.

I've read the Obama tweet and see 22 million followers and 745,000 retweets. As you say with your 3.2% this would cruise home with Clarence house.

I'm going to do a little research into the highest number of retweets on other things.

However, the main thing that worries me.

This might sound bad, but i'm 23 and have never heard of Clarence House, I've obviously heard of Barack Obama. Which leads me to Barack Obama, Lady GaGa are things everyone just clicks follow on because they're famous and well known.

To be a follower of Clarence House, you've got to know of it, and in my opinion be interested in Royalty and go out of your way to follow them if that makes sense. So I do think more than 3.2% will retweet. But i'm still in agreement, 22% needing to retweet is a high percentage?

Does a tweet count as a retweet if it isn't a retweet of the original?

Another example is the 3rd highest - https://twitter.com/TJLang70/status/250455217332711424

Again this is something unique, if you follow NFL and like this player you'd follow.

Anyway as you can from that link it says 96,000+ retweets from just 130,000 followers?

Here's nice bet. According to Oddschecker Coral go 6/1 the whole field in the
"What day of the week will the baby be born?" market.

Hills go 11/2 four of the days and 13/2 the other three.

That means you can have £971 to get back a grand, for a guaranteed profit of £29. 3% for a month - better than the building society!

Feeling fairly c0cky about this bet now. Must try not to count chickens yet, though.
I've had saver bets on the 22nd and 23rd (20/1 and 25/1) but I don't imagine the doctors will let her go more
than 10 days over.

You're aware first babies are generally late? Often over a week

I think you're right about them being a bit jumpy on getting it out though

I think that the first baby being late thing might be a myth George. I did a little bit of googling

I did all the maths on the original birth thread that had her due mid July or later.  11/10 July 1st or later was buying money in terms of value.
