Contrary to popular belief, he didn`t think he could stop the tide. In fact, he knew he couldn`t, but his people/advisers insisted that he could, that he was all-powerful. In pruving his inability to stop the tides, he was, in fact, proving that he was, King or not, a mere mortal

All the girls names drifting

Interesting to see that within 20mins of the birth the girls' names were drifting, yet media had no idea until approx. 8.30pm. Would love to know if the Middletons had a few bets. Perhaps Her Maj has a betfair account? Excited

Won't be Albert - Prince Albert = a genital piercing
Won't be Edward - King Edward = a potato
Won't be Richard - shortened to King Dick
Won't be Charles - a King Charles is a spaniel dog
Certainly won't be 'James Arthur'. A 'J Arthur' = knocking one out

beyond sickening squares - who are these people who queue outside the hospital & Buck Palace for hours on end & wave their UJ flags & sing 'Congratulations'? This child will be on the throne long after they are dead, they have no connection with the Royal Family whatsoever… I'm only tuned in cos I want to make a few quid before the market suspends again as soon as the name is announced.

buying gifts and flowers - how bloody pointless is that.

Only do it to make themselves feel good/part of it.

Go to a hospice, or an old folks home, etc., do some good in your own community - not for people who have everything handed to the on a place.

I've taken my few pence green on everyone now, but why so sure on James? Surely if insider it would be odds on by now?
(Although I'm quite sure it will get hammered at some point by insiders)

don't suppose it will be Gary after Kate's drug-dealing uncle.

Nor will it be named after the famous bookie Mr Middleton.
