Walsh is young and musical. Any dance experience (beyond Girls Aloud)? Trying to work out why Craig thinks she'll win.

Right age and physique I guess.

Someone would appear to have an even righter age and much righter physique

She's very curvy which is nice but I'd have thought dvo's figure would be better for the fast dances.

Pendleton's musical beat capability is unknown, compared to a singer.

She's a difficult one. Is she loved or hated by women?

Managed to watch the first bit last night before going out, so saw Victoria Pendleton - and the reveal of the first four.

Anything major from the rest of the programme?

Must admit, I had been concerned VP's personality might be a bit suspect regards gaining votes, but thought she came across superbly on TOS couch.

Russell Grant and MAtthew VAughan were talking on 5Live this morning.  MV said he was training all Saturday and Sunday, and was about to set off for more work on the show for today.  Said he found it incredibly challenging, aching in places he'd never ached before, said he's not a natural dancer at family parties, weddings, etc.  Also mentioned that part of his reasons for giving up cricket were his dodgy knee and dodgy feet so unsure as to how that will affect his progress.

Sounds a no hoper to me. His smile might get him a few extra weeks

Victoria Pendleton just tweeted:

"Just like to warn everyone, dance experience is zero, unless jumping up and down in DM boots is considered dancing"

Current odds probably a fair reflection, but could still be a decent back to lay.  Can't see her leaving the competition early even if she has no chance of winning...

Sounds more like a lay to back Wink

Cheers for the info squares.
Vaughan's wiki page mentions his dodgy knees, as he was a decent footballer too, but is quoted as saying that he's knees would never have held up if he'd become a pro footballer.
So that must be a worry.

As for Pendleton, I thought she came over well on TOS too. The worry with female sportswomen is they can come over as too competitve.
Gabby Logan the most famous example. I really like her as a presenter but her competitve instict was so apparent during SCD and killed any chance she had.

On female competitive instinct, that has to be a big worry too for DVO - she is REALLY competitive and that may well come across in a negative way to viewers...

Attractive, brassy, confident blonde. Sounds exactly what SCD voters don't like to me

VPL in the media again about her bike being sold off.  For someone who claimed not to like the public eye, she's quite active innit Mischief.  I guess someone wanted it just to sniff the seat

Kimberley Walsh is going to be extremely sexy in those outfits

how this helps I don't know (in betting terms I mean)

but anyway I make it 1.2 a male winner and will lay all the birds when they shorten

"I make it 1.2 a male winner "

Any reason?

Unsure how it will affect her price, but many fans of the show will consider DvO a ringer. Seems a very unlikely winner to me, but might shorten on ability.

Maybe Cider, and if she's not that good her tenure will be short.  Smith is the genuine ringer, but the public won't mind that Wink
