Talking of the others drifting. Germany is an astonishing price.
Good looking lad, who appears to be eciting the female teens of europe more than the Norwegian kid. A song that is MEM friendly, jury friendly and has a good draw to boot. Plus with the European economy collapsing they'll be the only ones who'll be able to afford to host it next year |

That affordable thing is one of the reasons my biggest two greens are Norway and France. Plus of course they're the two standout songs.

I like Hungary, it reminds me of my 80's synth band upbringing however thats probably not a recommendation for 2012 ESC. I'd be happy for it to qualify but when I divide up the places available it never makes it through

TBF on the political point, you're probably right. Their economy was up the swanny last year and they won their semi and managed 7th in the final.
The guy could sing tho and Greece might not even have an economy this time next week. |

I agree the staging is good and they always pull out a performance when needed.
I just don't think the song is as good as last year or the staging as striking. Vocals still iffy. |

What we have learnt today that semi final 1 is a very strong heat. Greece do need to up their game and 5/6 of the qualifiers will be strong players in the final.
It does seem pretty certain imo that Russia will win the televote, I think this detracts from its opposing up tempo competitors and the jury market is competetive already so the contest is still very open. Have laid Sweden top 4 and will put it negative on betfair. If its great on Thurs it shortens slightly very good it stays the same so good or worse and it drifts for me. |

It will certainly be the more enjoyable semi to watch for me and it's looks a competitve heat.
I'd be surprised if the winner came from it tho. |
