Nice to see Bunny posting...Not sure I could enjoy sitting through one of theses types of shows without contemplating a bet.Whoever ended up winning,I would end up convincing myself I would have backed them.Still after Little Mix,Bunny has definetly retired on a high.
I liked the show from day one,and find the lack of joke acts a huge plus.Had a brief look at the battle rounds from the US version on youtube,and they seem entertaining.Like GB said,it will be interesting to see if the lives differ in any way from the competition.

Contestants are aspiring singers drawn from public auditions. The show's format features three stages of competition. The first is the blind audition, in which four coaches listen to contenders without seeing them, and turn their chairs to signify that they are interested in working with that artist. If more than one coach turns the chair, the artist chooses the coach he or she would like to work with. The blind audition ends when each coach has ten (UK version) or twelve (U.S. version) or sixteen (Dutch version) artists to work with. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their singers, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success.

The competition then enters into a battle phase, when the coaches picks two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience. After the vocal face-off, the coach must choose which singers will advance.

At the end of the battle episodes, the strongest members of each coach's roster proceed to the live stage shows. In this final performance phase of the competition, the top contestants from each team compete against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience vote to save one contestant on each team, leaving the coach to decide live who they want to save and who will not move on. In the next round, the public chooses between the two artists left on each team, and the coach also has a vote that weighs equally with the public vote.

Finally, each coach will have his/her best contestant left standing to compete in the finals, singing an original song. From these four, one will be named "The Voice" - and will receive the grand cash prize of a recording contract. Starting with the U.S. version, the coaches usually perform together in the first episode.

Be interesting if the best voices just happen to go with the blandest performers. We'd end up with a winner who won't sell records or gigs.  Second year in USA isn't it? If so must work I guess.

The Voice UK artists Bill Downs, Aleks Josh, David Julien and Max Milner have reportedly decided to form a boyband if they fail to cut it on the show!

The four soloists have all joined The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue’s team on the BBC One talent contest, and will be seen competing for places in his final five in the upcoming ‘Battle Rounds’.

But according to the Daily Star, they already plan to follow in the footsteps of X Factor megastars One Direction by teaming up if they get booted off!

Bill told the newspaper: “There are some really strong people in Team Danny. The boys especially are strong singers.

“Me and Max and Aleks and David have all said that if we don’t make the live shows then we’ll carry on as a boyband.

“We can be the new One Direction. I think that would be amazing.”

What I don't get about The Voice (although I only watched the first one it has to be said) is that it's a blind judgement by the judges initially till they turn round fair enough.  Trouble is once they've picked their 'teams' to go into the finals then firstly both them and the viewers can see what they look like, the judges will be ridiculously biased towards their acts saying 'how great that was' even when they know it wasn't .................... so what's the difference between this and X Factor apart from the initial blind 'audition'?

Like I said once they've chose their acts it's just X Factor isn't it?

There will be little difference after the auditions. Except hopefully no contrived judges spats.
But I don't see why there's an issue about that.
XF doesn't have a monopoly on siging competitions. It wasn't the 1st and it won't be the last.

Sometimes I don't 'love it' though!  The travelling's a real pain getting round the UK and abroad too.  Going back to what looks like the same old hotel room.  I was in Germany recently for nine dates and I thought it was a teriffic country but it was still nice to get home.
