Note the dip on Monty Panesar as he provides England with a draw. Good ere innit. :)
By:
Jessica is better looking lol
By:
Lol Alex. I appear to have layed Monty at 60.
I think I may spend the £2 on GBH or GO :-) |
By:
GBH was better value. Invested at 330
By:
I always have a fiver on the other Monty, George.
If he ever wins the Open............... This is the year ;) |

very good write up tmm.
If she gets gold top 3 should be very likley, and I got on at Billy each way at 50/1, 1/5 the odds. 10/1 about a top 3 finish looks a cracking price now. If she wins gold, she beats Muzza (unless he wins the USOpen), beats a championshipless Button even if those 2 things do happen she will still have a great shot at top 3, if not then 1st is very possible. |

very good spot tmm. I've been watching the uk trials over the weekend and my immediate thought was she could be a good price for SPOTY. Saw that SJ were going 33/1 1/4 the odds and after overly relaxed deliberation decided to take it only to find they were now going 12/1 with them and 20s best elsewhere win only and any value had gone. Thought the forum would be responsible. Amazing that she was 100/1 a couple of days earlier!

By:
I would say I'm more confident than you that she will win in Beijing but less confident that it will be enough
By:
Berlin not Beijing. Only a few thousand miles in it
By:
I will gladly take that fiver fll ;-)
By:
Fred looks fecked again. Harmy in squad
By:
Hmmm.... I think my blog post yesterday AM may also have had something to do with the prices moves :)
http://kickingbets.blogspot.com "The man who moves markets" |
By:
so you've basically nicked tmm's bet. stripped it of all insightful analysis and passed it off as your own?!
well done. |
By:
lol

I actually backed Jessica Ennis at 100/1 2 months ago.... I'll post this now on blog for proof - perhaps then you will stop being so critical...I don't expect any sort of apology though.
By:
fll, I would have though better of you.
By:
i was probably a bit harsh there. your analysis was pretty poor but i like the look of your bets in general. as good a blog as i've read, purely for value punts. you win nothing for analysis anyway.
By:
OK, I've posted my bet palced at 100/1 - placed at 19.43 10th May 2009, approximately 2 months ago.
Any apology? Don't mind being called an 'aftertimer' if it is true, but in the case I was approx 2 months ahead of others. |
By:
rouzhamo, apology accepated... I flew off the handle a bit as well. I don't mind spending time doing my blog, but I'm not good at accepting criticism! :)
In gerneral, my write up's are wekaker can they could be .... really just a matter of having the time to do them. I coudl have spent 2 hrs writinga sevral page writeup on SPOTY, but the outcome woudl be the same. I'm one of the good guys, please don't shout. :) |
By:
"as good a blog as i've read, purely for value punts"... can I quote you on that? :)
By:
lol yeah if you want.
good luck with the guadeloupe and webber bets by the way. and ennis as well of course. cracking value you've got. |
By:
i don't usually read betting blogs though ;)
By:
Apologies Chris.
A very nice bet. GL. rouzhamo post made me chuckle tho :) |
By:
Chris, your blog is by far and away the best betting blog I have ever read, and you can quote me on that - lol.
Your ability, over time (I see your blog has been going since 2005) to spot brilliant value bets is very good, and I have been following it closley for the last year. I was on Micheal Sim for top ozzie at the USOpen and am currently on the 100/1 for Guadeloupe to win the CONCAF cup. As with all blogs and tips you shouldnt just bet every bet but, I feel almost every bet posted on the blog is worth thinking about and there are at least 1/2 gems per month. |
By:
i second sean's post. i vaguely remember reading your blog a few months back and not being massively impressed, but will certainly be following you now, judging by your work in the last couple of months. some seriously good bets there.

FF the new mover in this market - last matched at 5.7 based on his antics at Lords.
Whilst he has momentum behind him going to be a tough ask to keep up this level of performance over the remainder of the series, and injury doubts too. Wouldn't want him offside though if he is fit - he has public popularity levels Murray could only dream of. Button the main drifter as a consequence - out into the 3's. |
By:
Tom Daly should be on the list. He's just become world champion
By:
I backed him 15 mins ago at 200/1 at Bluesq (still availible) - a massive price.... so I now have Eniss and Daley 'running' for me.
By:
Betting now suspended at Bluesq. Hmm.
By:
And before any "smart arse" comments, I posted this bet on my blog at 18.19 tonight, before the first post about Daley on here :)
By:
Bradley Wiggins would surely have a good shot at top 3 Spoty if he got on the podium in the Tour?
By:
He wont win, but I'd like him on the market so I can take some moneyon him.
By:
So you only wanted him listed so you could lay him! You should have made that clearer in your fisrt post :)
When he gets addes, put up 200/1 and I will have some more. OK? |
By:
How on Earth could Tom Daley win SPOTY? I tend to keep a close eye on sport in general but I didn't even know the World Diving championships were on. Ok, the World Equestrian Champion (?) won SPOTY in 2006 but that was because it was the Queen's daughter.
By:
I think Bradley Wiggons has a mhjor chance of a Top 3 placing... 50/1 (E/W) is a decent price).
By:
Chris, do you think Wiggo could win SPOTY if he came second to Contador?
By:
I also didn't know the Diving World Chmaionships were on... no publicity as Daley was not expected to be even placed.
I think he has an outside chance as winning depends on: 1. Whether he first makes top 10 - as chosen by professionals, they will aware of his achievement. 2. If he makes the top 10, on the night how the BBC sets the narrative. I'm not saying he is an even money chance, just not 200/1..... somewhere in between. |
By:
i think Wiiggins could actually win SPOTY if he finishes 2nd to Contador.... you certainly wouldn't be throwing away the win part of your bet.
The only negativea are that TdF doesn't get BBC coverage and more importantly I think it counts against Wiggins that Hoy won last year. |
By:
Daley is now 10/1 at BlueSq/Willhill, 16/1 at Korals.
Cuban Pete, I'm waiting on the 200/1 to back here... as he 'won't win' you woudl clearly be getting 'FREE MONEY'. |
By:
Cubanpete, are you going to put in the request or shall I for Daley to be added to SPOTY betting? Let me know.
