It's harder this week imo. I backed Jade blind @20's on Saturday, I feel she has a strong danger of b2, but likely vs a weaker dancer this time. Ali will get a boost for sure, and I feel Laila/Anton poll quite well. RickyW likely to top the board again.
By:
News that Jade is doing the Jive is surely encouraging though cider.
I'd be very surprised if she avoids the dance-off this week. She's had her one week bounce. Back to the bottom of the vote, as we saw with Zoe. |
By:
Chris, Ricky W and Ricky G appear to have dances that suit this week.
The others may struggle. |
By:
The only ones we don't know are Ali and Nat then.
Nat's dance will be her favourite ever dance and the one she's been waiting to do (nap) |
By:
Craig is more vulnerable this week imo, makes things harder for me. The ties really close the table up. I wonder if the judges will realise this and spread it out more? (if wanting to keep the stronger dancers)
By:
I'm sure the judges would like to avoid the ties, for the reason you give cider.
Very tricky to do in practise tho. Unless they get together before the show and decide the marks beforehand. I'm not even cynical enough to believe that happens . |
By:
what does Craig have FLL?
By:
Ooops I forgot about him.
I don't know. Just found this on DS tho, based on what dances they have left to do and assuming they'll all have different dances again, they reckon the following - Ali - VW Craig - Cha Cha Cha Natalie - Waltz or QS |
By:
Ali could be great.
Craig - Cha cha is often a nightmare for male celebs Nat - either should be ok and she'll get 7's and 8's for trying. |
By:
high score for Ali with that
By:
If she can get over her foot problems...?
The ties last Saturday prove to me that there is no collusion. Yes knowing about a problem and solving it two completely different things. |
By:
Thought she only stubbed her toe on a sofa or something - shouldn't be a lasting problem surely.
By:
I wouldn't have thought it would hold her back this week.
Ricky W was ok with even tho he was carrying a knee injury |
By:
Had to take her shoes off for dance-off on Saturday. Toes very painful place to hurt, putting weight on it all the time, maybe affect training? Of course, she could be completely fine.
By:
Hollins could really impress with foxtrot and get his highest score, I reckon, though still hard to see him beating either of Ali or Ricky W. If Craig's support holds, Ricky G doing a crowd-pleasing fast Latin, and if we are to believe story about Hollins topping public vote, could Tuffers find himself in a dangerous position? Just thought I'd throw that one out there...
By:
If Tuffers is coming second in the vote this hardly seems likely
By:
Ali is in for a strong pv this week.
By:
All kinds of value about if you believe Craig will survive again
By:
I think Craig is a gonna this week.
Many people stop voting for a real duffer when a good dancer goes and Craig is the only real. He's also made it to Blackpool now, so a good time to bow out. |
By:
What was all this Blackpool thing about anyway?
You can just drive there iirc. Or get the train. Was he having a bit of trouble? |
By:
Bound to make a fuss of him though. He may have one more week left in him
By:
Jade/Laila in the dance off this week, along with poor old Ricky Groves (available around 12's)
Bye bye Dennis... maybe they'll let you sing the theme tune? |
By:
Jade and Leila??? Ricky G ??
I really do not think so.. Could be a pedicatable one this week! Think that more people will vote sensibly going forward.. Only 4 good dancers left so people will probably start picking up the phone now. Tuffers could be next to go..Think the looney voters will be watching John & Edward and keeping them in this week |
By:
I expect the same pattern to continue - those considered the superior dancers, and high up on leaderboard, dropping down into bottom 2. We know Jade and Ali have both polled v low, and pretty confident Ricky W isn't scoring too highly with public votes either.

Brian's twitter says Ali's foot is "mending"
By:
Tango routine is ledge, nats has pulled a blinder, dance is good, music is good, gonna be hard with little time to rehearse,so much fun tho

Simon Cowell just said SCD is a dancing contest, so it must be true.
By:
Nat - QS
and she's devastated her best mate Zoe has gone |
By:
She was probably planning to eat her
By:
incredibly difficult choreography that Vinthent would do for a pro dancer, apparently.
By:
nat and vinc are very good at manufacturing a story/angle for themselves every week .

Hi Guys
Natalie has been my SCD 'cash cow' this series. I have no evidence to support my instinct, but I have always thought she carries a fair bit of public support. If she keeps improving, I would not put it past her to reach the final. She's a trier, she's over weight and she enjoys dancing - I could see how lots of viewers identify with her. Natalie is not popular on here, but I guess we are not her constituency. Regards To All |

By:
evening lg,trust you are in good form
visited my mum with the aa clan last week. she votes for phil every week because "he doesn't try like the others and looks like he's dying for a fag" :0 she also votes for the twins :D some mothers do ave em ?:| |
By:
Phil very popular with the Alan Titchmarsh audience too.
Muted response when Jo Wood suggested Ricky W would win. Big round of applause when Brendan suggested Tuffers would. He'll be hard to stop when the voting figures rise and more and more casuals start voting. That's usually from the quarter finals onwards. |
By:
The problem for all the other competitors is that Ricky is so much better than the rest of them. If form is any guide, then the three dancers who were much better than the rest (Jill, Mark, Alesha) won their heats. In the other years, there was some legitimate argument, but there isn't this year. In short, although it is a public vote in the final, if Ricky shows himself palably and demonstably vastly superior to the two others in the final, I think he will win because the SCD public are ultimately fair minded, particularly in the last stage of a marathon event.
No other dancer in this year's show could have got near what Ricky did on Saturday night. It is not my best result, but I think if he deserves to win then he will win. |
By:
For the very reason it's a public vote, Ricky Whittle quite possibly won't win. Colin Jackson was the best dancer and he didn't win. And Alesha required a subtle push to help her over the line. Viewers love a 'journey' contestant and a couple they feel emotionally involved with. I don't see much of a attachment forming between viewers and the Ricky/Natalie partnership. They're a rather cold duo.
Phil, Chris and Ricky G could all fit the mould as journey contestants, have chemistry with their partners, and are endearing to viewers. As such, there's fair reason to oppose Whittle at odds on imo. |
By:
lol aa
and was also thinking the same re: Nat/Vinc having some sort of 'story' each week so they are always memorable |
By:
you saw the AT show too FLL
By:
Ricky's partner Natalie will be seeeeeeeething if they don't win. She doesn't look like she came over here for the scenery and the weather. Think one of the lon-standing pros could have shown his personality in a better light.
