hes around 8/15 to beat allen, id say 4/9, and around 1/3 v si

With exception of 2020 covid summer renewal, this has got to be the strangest world championships in living memory. Not least the authorities finally recognising and actually doing something about the buckets - I wasn't expecting that as the saying goes. All credit to Si and Luca for busting the barriers down. I'm not quite sure we're witnessing the mythical changing of the guard just yet, let's see if selby can be taken down first, but fair play to the newbies all the same.

Mark Allen 2/1 -1.5 frames and Brecel -4.5 6/4..
By:
Brecel -2.5 4/5..

Here we go....
Cagey stuff from both thus far. |
By:
That pink lol
By:
Crazy!
Virgo in with 'loneliest seat in the world' and 'the things happen on a snooker table' early doors... |
By:
This is outstanding stuff from Si in frame 2.
By:
Beautiful break,incredible ..
By:
Luca's price has expanded 16 ticks after sharing the first two frames!

That is a memorable frame. The three amazing pots early on - then an immaculate ton. Given the context that is some Crucible moment. Frame 2, worth seeing all of it if you missed it....
By:
This is unbelievable stuff, deserves to win if he keeps playing this playing like Hendry..

By:
I am starting to believe...
And all this with Chinese snooker in the midst of a major crisis - no mention of that from the BBC but... |
By:
Great stuff but has to make it count while he has upper hand.
By:
He would probably have dished up in frame 1 as well had Luca not got that fluke
By:
Two tons and 90 back to back,Brecels not in this class he looked completely gone last night that's the huge advantage of being 20..
By:
He did make it count. Amazed if he can sustain this for rest of session, let alone the match, but ive been predicting him to hit the skids for past 4 days so gonna hold fire now. If he does, luca is in big trouble.
By:
Wow...
By:
Its sundown in China... How many eyes are on this display?
By:
any thoughts from Murphy ?
By:
The Belgium bullet? I see only blanks fired here...

Looks like BBC have demoted hazel to second choice presenter behind this airhead ☹️
By:
Worrying times for Hazel...
By:
Luca be happy with 3-5 today, 4-4 and he's dancing a jig all the way back to hotel
By:
Really good session. Si rightly leads.
By:
I think Selby is still very good value as the rightful favourite outright - if he beats Allen, which I'm confident he will, then he could well dominate any final after that.
By:
I'm saying that as someone who had pre-tourny nibbles at laying him - but it's falling straight into his hands IMO, and he looks like he knows it with confidence.
By:
agree with you stu, looks very confident doesnt he
By:
long night id say
By:
since allen lost weight and changed his game he has become one of the most boring players on the circuit
By:
Wonder if Allen has used a ketogenic diet (like Atkins)
That can leave you listless and low in energy. He ambles around the table zombie-like nowadays |
By:
Heads up to anyone who thought they had bet on the match odds - seems betfair matched a load against frame 26 in error. Make sure you let them know if you are affected
By:
ridicilous this
By:
i love long old fashioned frames, but this silly imo
By:
Thin markets tonight..........

Did red move ever so slightly there? Didn't think so at first but last camera angle looked dodgy
By:
I rewound and watched it a couple of times - it definitely moved.
By:
Looked like it Did, though it was very slight, would give allen benefit of doubt, was concentrating very hard on the pot
