I'm watching lisowski, so the others just have the right table

Must have tight table ffs
By:
Why is the beeb not showing Selby? A former world champ in a match that is not a foregone conclusion. Madness...
By:
It's on the red button, CCD
By:
LTT seems to have lost focus a tad
By:
Fair play to Lisowski, he has shown some bottle coming back.
By:
Wow, what a miss from Selby
By:
Don't know why you'd play to lift the red with the table playing as easy as it is

Market makes Cabby fav for each of the remaining 6 frames

Shocker by McGill there.
By:
McGill 11-8 Lisowski. This would be an immense comeback.
By:
Horrendous mcgill
By:
I was just questioning why they put it on the main channel. As it turns out it may be a decent choice. Wilson looks done...
By:
Lisowski is on the spectrum I'm sure.
By:
Fark me

Well played McGill in the end

Selby fav v JB with 365
By:
has higgins ever beaten selby here, don't think so
By:
3 times (2009, 2007, 2005). Selby has won 2 (2017, 2006)
By:
Higgins hammered Selby on Selby's debut. Beat him again since I think, but Selby won the last meeting here.
By:
Higgins is playing better than Selby but it's a cast iron certainty Selby will up his game tomorrow.
By:
Even if he doesn't up his game, he will make it considerably more difficult than Kyren did.
By:
I wouldn't want to be paying for the light

By:
I'm with Selby, he'll take care of Higgins I reckon.
By:
Selby looks flat as a pancake to me and tired,Higgins the opposite think Higgins could walk away with it unless Selby springs into life, just doesn't look like there's anything left in his locker bar battling..Everyones expecting a tight great game,i think it could be one sided and quite poor, just based on the other two matches played..
By:
can anyone explain why Jones is 3/1 to beat Allen?? on bare form I'd make jones fav, he has played great this tournament. Seems to be name alone making Allen fav. I know it's a big ask for Jak having no experience of anything like this but look at the way he brushed Neil aside. I see a close match.

I think we've reached the stage where the qualifiers are into their third week and facing a bit of a disadvantage. Not sure how you quantify it but it's a factor nonetheless. Not so worried about mcgill but think we might see it telling with Jones and Si the more sessions they have to slog through.
By:
It wouldn't surprise me if all 4 matches are easy wins, gonna see some major bottling from the newbies and Brecel..
By:
Not sure how hopeful i can be for Luca, composure seems very good and think he has improved his all round game, little less of the ball basher i remember from a few years back, but this is a big test against a ronnie who looks to be pretty well focussed. If Luca can keep it tight and actually manage to apply some pressure, unlike his previous opponents, then who knows? Not sure what to make of the driving over and back from Belgium thing, maybe works for him but seems a bit of an odd thing to do i have to say.

Good thread !!
£15 went down the toilet for me with my Robertson to win shocking bet !!I'm now on Ronnie 2/1 to win £100. I agree that Jones looks a value play at the odds to beat Allen. Also think Si may upset Mcgill. Been impressed with both selections. GL with your bets. Should be a great watch despite the massive buckets !! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Jones to beat Allen? These are bold shouts... I haven't seen enough of the Welshman. Let's see how they at the first msi - then I might jump in.
By:
higgins 13 selby 6, ronnie 13 brecel 10, mggill 13 si, 5, allen 13 , jones 11.. around 40,000/1 acca

JakJ has played very well here, but Robbo let him off big time at the start of their final session. Prior to this past 10 days he'd done very little this season, let alone his career. Three weeks ago, he was winning just 48% of frames played this season. He's made one ranking SF (Gibraltar) and one QF (English Open) in his career. It is highly likely that the occasion will get to him at some point.
Something has clicked with Si's scoring, though (it could just be the extremely placid tables), but he's taken almost half a frame off the rate at which he makes 50+ breaks since the tournament began versus across the season as a whole. That's a huge difference. To counter that, you would have to think LTT has probably got too much game, and we have seen Si start several sessions like a rabbit in the headlights, it's just that his opponents haven't been able to apply the required pressure. |
