Wu needed a snooker v Ng, got it and then tried to lay another one and absolutely butchered it. 2-1 Ng. |

3-1 Ng. She's sooooo much better than Reanne. Just remains to be seen whether she can actually get over the line this time.
|
|
By:
3-2 Ng. You can see she's just thinking differently than she was before she got to 3....
|
|
By:
OK, so she was served up a gilt-edged chance, but she's taken them flawlessly with an 82 break. Well done, Ng, 4-2. Hopefully she can build on that.

They should credit Wu with an "assist"
- but all you can do is beat whoever they put in front of you and she did it well - two nice breaks, plays the percentage shot, very pleased for her - a well deserved win! |
|
By:
Indeed. Her cueball is far better than Reanne's. It could have been one hell of a start to tour life, given she was 2 up with 3 to play against both Steadman and Shon, too.

1-0 Steadman over Burns, Wilson over Kurt.

By:
Kurt, needing 6 pen points to be able to win the frame, gets gifted 12 and steals. 1-1.

2-0 Steadman

3-1 Steadman

Wilson breaks down very early on when in with what looked a great chance to go 3-2 up. Instead, Kurt leads 3-2.
|
|
By:
Wilson is soooooo bad, blows two great chances within a handful of shots to go 3-3, Kurt punishes the second of them, 4-2.
Burns needed snookers and now doesn't. |
|
By:
Steadman gets one of his own and puts him away, 4-1.

Totally agree on Ng On Yee. Always looked a better player than Reanne so not surprised to see her first to the win. Incidentally, i think the young Thai girl who beat her last week and will be on tour next year will be better than both of em. I mean, be able to retain her card anyway.

Watched the women's final last week for my sins! Enjoyable match though standard wasn't great, but long potting from the Thai girl was up there with most top 16 players I've seen, she was spectacular. Cue ball control was a big issue though and that's of course what the game is mostly about. Once she improves that, and no doubt she will, she will have a chance.

Not sh!tting you lats, not quite robbo or Zhao standard, but next tier down for sure. Got to stage i was expecting her to pot them nearly every time. Trouble was she didn't make any breaks over 50, or maybe even 40, so she didn't take advantage of it. I think a lot of the younger kids are the same, potting them off the lampshades until the pressure is applied and then fold like cheap suits.

3-1 Licky, Croup misses a very makeable black that would have forced a re-spot. 2-1 Woolly.

Feb 20, 2022 -- 7:59PM, Not even sure it's pressure, mate. Think a lot of it is just not giving enough attention to the easy, mundane stuff... Definitely part of it lats. Imagine how boring it must get doing those 10,15 red drills in practice all day, bit like golf you just wanna stand on the range whacking balls 300 yards when you really should be on the putting green sinking 5ft putts over and over again. Why i never made it as a single figure handicapper ![]() |

Woolly steals (somehow) one of the scruffiest frames of snooker you will ever see. 3-2 Woolly.

Couple of interesting games today. Local kid Liam Davies is just 15 but is a fine prospect and drawing Boiko gives him a very good chance of progressing today. Si Juahai looked great winning the world amateurs last week, if he can transfer that kind of form to the pro ranks, he might even manage to win Murphy's approval! Cabby, we know, can blow hot and cold. And if Pang is getting back to the player he was last season, could be a handful for even a slimmed down Higgins.

Morning, mate. Hope you're well?
I'd love to see Boiko win today, given all that is going on in the world. Interesting about Si! 365 didn't have any prices up for that match when I looked this morning - presumably in light of your news above! I WOULD LOVE IT if Ng stuck one over on Ali. Pang is definitely on my "too big" list for today. I had Zhang as value, Fergal as being too big if Mags isn't up for it, Hugill is too big on the numbers, but Big Boy is more resilient than Ali, but Dylan Emery is the bet of the day (IMHO). 1-0 LTT over Zhang, 1-0 Mann over Brown, 1-1 Shon/TG/God over Hicks, 1-0 Fergal over Mags |

All good here mate, enjoyed the snooker last night, kids seem to be losing their fear factor of ronnie which is a good thing.
Gl if you are on Fergal. One thing i know is he will fight like a rabid dog for his tour card and needs every win he can get so taking on mags at 10am on a monday morning definitely right up his street! Hadn't clocked the boiko angle and fair point, Davies is a vastly superior talent but far less experience so a match boiko can definitely target. I'll just be watching for interest. Don't really know a lot about emery but slessslessor at sub 1.4 is an instant red flag. |
