u lose the freebet. say id u back a team draw no bet witha  minute left and put the freebet on and it finishes in a draw - u will get no win or no loss but the freebet stake will not be given back. if it was meid just wait for a couple of 2 or 3/1 favs wherethe nearest is say 12/1 and at least worst case u just lose the freebet.hope u guys get paid out tho.

say you have £200 free bet, put the lot on horse at 4/1, lay on here at 5.0 if you can , if that horse loses you win £200, if wins then you get £ 800 from baldy but you lose £800 on here. that why you need the horse to lose. forget about free bet stake thats irrevelent in the situation, as you dont get that returned anyway.

I am amazed nobody is taking legal action ... a free bet is NOT the equivalent in cash as you do not get the stake back - the stake is effectively built into the odds - so an even money is a 50/50 chance you stake £10 and win you get £20 back. But with the free bet you only get £10 back. A free bet is effectively only "half" money

It's for this reason and as for the blatant statements in his advertising that I believe the advertising standards could have him.

I am also amazed that he actually believes he is in the right it's so clearly wrong and he should pay up in cash.

This is excellent news but probably doesn't help me as I converted my free bets into cash at about 80% of their face value. Don't expect I'll be able to reclaim the other 20%.
