I remember looking at the T&C's online but don't recall seeing anything about free bets... but then again I was only really looking if their was a maximum stake. So not sure.

They're all a bunch of welching chancers.  No honour in the bookmaking industry, except for the odd independant.  How do you think the big firms got so big?

Email the snooker bodies and also the bbc telling them the sponsors or the world snooker championship are fraudsters. Wasn't it Betfred who refused to pay Barry Curly on the horse racing acca. Also remember not paying out on some football max a while back. Seem to be the worst of the worst.

This is the t+c's they sent me. They highlighted the "free bets....." line. To me that is totally irrelevant. Can anyone here say from this that winnings are to be paid as a free bet ?

The terms of the 147 offer;

If your selection makes a 147 break we will pay you out as a tournament winner, If he then goes on to also win the tournament we will double your outright winner odds.

T's & C's:
Single bets only
Only bets placed before the start of the first tournament match at 10am on Saturday April 21st are valid.
Max bet £200
Any subsequent returns from bets placed using free bet stakes will not include the stake
Free bets will be credited to your account within 48 hours of your qualifying bet being settled
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Usual Betfred.com rules apply, see website for details.

Really need someone to have copied the original t&cs
I didn't get involved in this promotion but anyone dodgy and Betfr ed is one of the worst, it's wise to safeguard yourself.
Maybe put a call out to see if anyone has?

Those t&c's I believe are about the money back if Trump wins offer, read through them and came to the conclusion that if Trump wins you get a free bet, if your selection makes a 147 then you get paid out as a winner.

This is pretty fecking naughty

Those are what they sent me when I asked them. I cannot remember the original t+c's when I read them but what I am sure of is that they also made no mention of free bets. Paid out as a winner as it says above, and as advertised on their site before and after the event when they tried to cover themselves in glory.

Any winner ever I backed that was paid out was paid out in cash. I didnt have to find another selection to have a free bet on and pray that it won! Im going to make a complaint to the Gambling Commission and they will likely get IBAS involved. I've not been paid out as a winner. Should Hendry win the tournament will I be paid that in free bets as well ? I think not but with this theiv**g crowd who knows when they might just run off with your money.

The way bfred are going the 'Betfred Special' is going down in gambling slang as 'screwing the punter'.  e.g I just had a winner at 3/1 been paid at 2/1 I have been 'betfred specialed'.

I looked at this and was really tempted to have a bet on the outright - I wouldn't have chosen Hendry though. But really this is an outrage he should pay out in cash no excuses.

I would get the BBC involved or possibly talksport - it's a no brain winner.

Talksport would love it - the BBC have got the snooker so any story against the sponsor would be of interest.

Really hope you get you money guys.

My mate has gone from 4 days in Dusseldorf/Cologne with return flights and £60 on the jars down the Alstadt, to £200 of free bets.

We both work in Manchester City Centre.  He's fuming.  Wants to put Baldy's windows in.  Fortunately, I calmed him down with the phrase "Slowly, Slowly - Catchey Monkey".

If you and your cohorts are looking in, nobody will be dining in "Nicky's" from now onwards, Fred.

Your approach to the Accrington V Bury game in 2008, when you accepted bets up until k.o. at 3pm, then VOIDED, epitomised what Betfed(r)is all about.  You buried that when Utd Vs Chelsea in the Champions League Final.  Talk about a quiet day to bury bad news.

How you got your grubby little hands on the "Tote", (backhanders aside) I will never know.
You are a disgrace to the bookmaking profession.

with these free bets, if you use them and you win do you get more free bets or is that winnings paid cash ?

think what i would do is back a horse where odds are very close to betfair, and lay the horse on here , hope it loses and youll get your cash here, if it wins you break even.

I plan to call them sometime today and I'm expecting to have a row, I think we all need to get together and voice our disgust at this blatant attempt at undoing the losses their offer has obviously cost them, even today they are still claiming they have paid out as a winner, I'm thinking an email to IBAS, the gambling commission in Gibraltar and Trading Standards might be our best hope. I will ask the question if these free bets have to be used in a certain time as I for one don't plan to touch them until this farce is sorted out. I have screen shots of the original T&c's and at best they are ambiguous, the ad for the trump offer states free bets and the ad for the 147  offer doesn't, however the T&c's for both offers we're the same.

GM, when the free bet is credited to your account, bang the lot on a non-runner. If they wont allow that, wait until someone is 2 or 3 nil up in a footie match in injury time and put it on at 1/500 or whatever in running.

But if the stake isn't refunded, there is no point in putting it on anything less than evens.

also watch out, the free bets might have to be on evens or above.

i know that many of you are having a go here and i dont blame you at all if the offer didnt say free bet, but still these free bets are superb offers .   i was given £ 50 free bet on euro 2012 by spoilsport the other day, by just having a £ 50 stake on a race at punchestown, all i did was bet with them and lay on here
By:

elisjohn that is totally irrelevant to the situation we find ourselves in after dealing with these thieves BETFRED.

They have welshed on bets paying large sums and are lying in emails to cover their tracks.

Despicable behavior. I hope they burn in hell.

i wonder if they rubbed salt in the wounds by limiting the accounts so u cudnt get more than say 50 euro from a winning freebet..any of u checked to see if theyve done that?u can hardly use the freebet in the casino can u? maybe there is some way to work around it.maybe if u guys wait for a golf tornie finl round..often ull see two players who are a few shots ahead of third and both wud be say 5/4 or 6/4...lump the freebet on one and the same stake on the other.thrid place will more than likely be 16/1 or thereabouts and if they  make a move u can always stick 20 on for cover
By:

When: 28 Apr 12 18:27
forgot the stake isnt returned..damn.well maybe take a chance when two favs are say 2/1.cud be golf horse racing or whatever.maybe 2 3/1 favs or soemthing like that.anyways check and see how long the freebet lasts for and u can wait for this opportunity until the freebet ends or fat bald runt does the right thing and pays out

How they can get away with saying this on their site for 3 days after stealing our winnings is beyond me.

After Stephen Hendry hit a magical 147, I'm paying him out as the tournament winner. If he goes on to win the tournament, I'll double his outright winner odds.

when i had free bets, i just backed a horse with them that i really didnt fancy to win, layed on here , try and get a similar odds and then hope it doesnt win. then you lose on free bet and win on here
