Overpriced Horses

Newton Abbot 4.00 East Hill

27 Sep 15 16:57
Another 2nd on Saturday, never knew what to expect from the horse, but he was too lit up, and wasted energy from the front. I doubt he ever would of beat the favourite, fair play to the winner, he recorded a time only 2 seconds slower than the hot handicap hurdle with older, seasoned horses - and he carried a stone more than the winner too.

So on to tomorrow, still carrying on with the over priced theme, one will drop sooner or later, and as long as they are going close to winning or ending up in frame, EW or getting out pre-race or in running are doable.

East Hill in the 4.00 at Newton Abbot. Been cut a little already, still 16/1 top price

Very eye catching jockey booking with Coleman being booked, and also the first time blinkers.

The horse has never showed any real form before, but he was just going through the motions in novice hurdles. 3 quick runs, and he made his handicap debut just a few weeks later, I'm thinking he was less than half fit. Showed up OK on his handicap debut, just looked green, he was hanging around the bends.

Given a nice summer break, down to 78. I remember Tizzard sending Ivor's King to this race two years ago, very similar form e.g. none, and although he lost by a head, he won his next 3 handicap hurdles within the month, so not sure how he lost really. I'm sure there was another horse a year before, but I can't find it.

Anyway, boom or bust, could hose up, could come no where, but he's a big enough price to find out.
