Comes to something when the game is on because "they've managed to push enough water off the pitch"

I think this is actually worse than the 3-3 pitch RM

Should be a government warning about backing teams at 1.15 in these conditions. Some people are nuts.

Time until first Balshaw clanger:

0-3 mins 7/4
3-8 mins 7/4
8-80 mins 7/4

Same for Brew, but Ngwenya's is like this:

0-26secs 7/4
27secs to 2m 7/4
After 2m - don't be daft.

Nah, not quite Vis. In patches it is for sure but the rec was actually bubbling with mud all across and was cut up pre-match (as the rec often is). Also I think the river runs off into the stadium in Bath, an innovative system that flies in the face of generally accepted wisdom.

Couldn't even get the ball to bounce for the kick off Laugh

Connacht will love this. Parks hoofs, some keen Irish lads chase after it and shout, then it's a scrummage.

can connacht beat last weeks penalty total? that's 1 already
By:
TheVis
When: 14 Dec 12 20:04
Yes you're right RM the Rec was cut up pre which makes a difference. This one is more just about standing water.
By:
RugbyMan
When: 14 Dec 12 20:06
Was that actually a penalty?

Last week this bloke Hodges broke the record, previously held by Rolland, for making me scream at the TV. And I even won on the cap, which makes it even worse. I genuinely don't think he knows the laws.

We might get to 50 scrums here Laugh

we seeing the problem with back to back games here. it was getting nasty towards the end of last weeks game and it has carried on to the start of this one

Someone tell this prat to stop blowing his whistle unless something actually illegal happens.
By:
RugbyMan
When: 14 Dec 12 20:15
Now that is NO TRY

If they can rub off last week's Toulon try then this is never ever a try.

wow RM even you couldn't have imagined he would f**k up quite that badly

Incredibly then it's taken 11:44 for Ngwenya's first blunder and it's an impressive 5pt blunder at that.
By:
RugbyMan
When: 14 Dec 12 20:17
It's alright northanlite, Hodges has already nailed his colours to the home team's mast as someone else suggested he would. Plenty more chances to come.

Despite that Ngwenya balls up it's Connacht making errors. Get the damn thing clear you madmen ffs,

"Use it"

Absolutely mad.

Quinlan at it now, learn the frigging laws before commentating. Balshaw jumps into touch so it's Connacht ball, good decision touchie.

So that's first Balshaw blunder at 17:32

When: 14 Dec 12 20:29
Touch judge and ref miss fight right in front of them. Incredible stuff.

Why are players passing the ball??? Get it, hoof it, chase like your life depends on it. Absurdly dumb from Connacht this half.

In a sick sort of way I don't mind watching these sort of games playing against the elements. For all the pressure Connacht have been under they are doing ok to be only 3 behind.
Could do with some Biarritz mistakes shortly.
By:

When: 14 Dec 12 20:31
26:44 for the first Brew error.

Well done to Brew, his was a simple knock-on and took a lot longer than the other two.
By:

When: 14 Dec 12 20:34
how bad would a pitch have to be for them to call it off?

i'm with you stewards, i wouldn't want to watch it every week but it is entertaining in its own strange way

When: 14 Dec 12 20:35
I agree with Connacht's defence. Been very good indeed, but their decisions with the ball have been awful. In that respect they are lucky it's only 3-0.

I enjoy these games as well. Reminds me of when I played, spending 5 minutes laying in a puddle with a fatso trying to drown me.
By:
RugbyMan
When: 14 Dec 12 20:36
Now it's 8-0 and I am less impressed by Connacht.

Parks wandering about in the middle of nowhere instead of making a tackle.

this reminds me of wet monday mornings at secondary school with a football hating p.e teacher, who took great delight trying to instill moral fibre on his pupils i.e (he loved sending us out in freezing, raining conditions to play his beloved rugby)anyone caught shirking was made to go into the front row Scared
