118 - Roxette by Canvey Island's finest Dr Feelgood, what a guitarist Wilko Johnson was
119 - Shooting Star by Bad Company - Paul Rogers is one of the best rock vocalists to come from these shores, not been in great health in recent years due to a series of strokes but seems on the mend thankfully. Married to a former Miss Canada, the boy done good ![]() |

Get outta here
![]() Couldn't think of another European Duo and shooting star (or Planet) seemed the most obvious, although you don't really have to be lucky to see a planet tbf. |

You just need a good telescope Aspro
![]() thought i'd make it a bit easier saying duo rather than band, could have been here all day otherwise ![]() |
|
By:
You would have been here all week!
Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter are easily spotted without a telescope, but the others are difficult even with a telescope! Mercury is a bit too close to the sun to be easily seen. Talking about planets, one of my often-played albums is Venus and Mars... do either you know the artist/band who recorded it? |
|
By:
Paul McCartney and Wings i believe Aspro.
Listen to what the man said was played on Caroline a couple of hours ago and they always tell us the album title . |

Yes Aspro, watching the bands performances on the tv at the time you could tell Ian looked a troubled individual, but then the most talented often are.
Songs like Transmission and Atmosphere made them stand out from the crowd. 127 - Power Of Love, the Heidi Stern version (aka Jennifer Rush of course )Struggling with the others at the mo, will keep thinking. |
|
By:
You know what really annoyed me with The Power of Love. If anyone and I mean anyone, played Jennifer Rush and Celine Dion's versions one after the other, there would be only one winner, a clear winner at that, yet JR's version barely scraped the US charts, whilst Dion made it to #1 over there. Clueless.

I don't suppose JR minded the royalty cheques for Celine's version though Aspro
![]() Back in the 80s you had to sell a million to stay at No 1 for a few weeks, bit different now. It was one of those songs that was out for ages before it suddenly started selling big numbers, not sure why it took off like that. |
