Sure, it had been all over the news for at least half an hour, with no fred on the forum. I thought it warranted one.
I'd say it's more telling that you waited until it was 'safe' to engage in the fred, and almost appear to be excited. But, in my view, you're just embarrassing yourself. Charlie loved to do that too, got a spade and loved to dig deeper. Just a coincidence, I'm sure :p |

Absolute shambles a car could get anywhere near the crowd in the first place. Total failure by police. Too busy monitoring social media.
If the clip of the car moving through the crowd (Cider/avfcbreaking) is in the leadup as has been said online, Fans banging on the car and trying to open door in the lead up did nothing to help the situation. |

Guy has his car parked on or just off he parade route.. Guy thinks parade is over, so he can now move his car. People still on the parade route disagree and take offence in car trying to move shouting and banging on car.. Guy driving panics and loses his fricking mind!

I was sickened by the first response from the local Labour MP warning that the "right wing" would try to exploit it. The only people trying to make political capital out of it were labour Ministers who wanted us to know how alert they all were on a Bank Holiday Monday. It was a distressing event but no weapons have been reported and mercifully nobody was killed.

No matter what the circumstances if the driver was brown/muslim the normal people would already have agitated, councillors wives would have commentated and there would already be riots. This thread would be 6 pages long.
Why does the right wing only get 'angry' when told to and when brown people commit, or are seen to commit crimes but not white? Anyone would think they are lazy pathetic idiots just being racist. If its not that what is it? |

Taking emotion and bias out of it, it seems our media are instructed to tell us immediately
that a suspect is white British. If they had said within minutes that Rudekabana was black British, or given a description of the London acid attacker and others as brown non British, people would not think there was an agenda at play. It's quite understandable that many do. |

What gets me about the media argument is that the BBC simply tell the official state response to events, or forward a select X post, all the material they use is social media content
Within an hour you could see the event from 20 different angles, unedited, and the public response as it happened, all on social media But all the BBC had was 1 edited clip, and then 12 hours later send sally to report from where it happened….after everyone had gone home. It’s actually amusing. |
