.Marksman,

If you had the choice of being bombed to smithereens or being put up in a hotel with free electricity and running water,  note they have electricity and water in our hotels what would you do?

We don't really know whether these people are in danger of "being bombed to smithereens".  They could just as likely be members of criminal gangs.  Or chancers who fancy being put up in hotels for a few months, or years even.  Best thing is to discourage them from coming here in the first place.

Back to the figures:  471 came over in 9 small boats yesterday. (source GB News)
The number always seems higher on Saturdays.  Could be due to the French cops going knocking off early at le weekend.  Remember we pay this lot to stop  illegal migrants from leaving the French beaches.

Hate to break it to you, mensa candidate and all. But, they have travelled to France before hopping in their taxi on water and breaking the law.

They aren't at risk of being killed through war in France.

Hate to break it to you Sherlock but we gave their land away and sopported the terrorists who have been stealing from and killing them ever since.

Yeah right, that why they hide their identity and pretend to be children.

You can't have it both ways, either they are at immediate threat of war, or they aren't. Once they are in France, they are no longer at threat.

What do you think would happen if the floaters were leaving England toward Ireland and turned the engine off half way. Do you think Irish authorities would pick them up and they'd stay forever in Ireland, with the Irish footing all the bills?

Stalking you? Laugh - I think you've got that the wrong way round - I'm just giving updates on my dog walking and gardening. I think that has about at least as much place on here as somebody reporting or copy & pasting what some random, reclusive, paranoid nut-job has just posted on Twitter.

Gardening update; this morning I planted some bulbs and then hosed down my Pampas. My neighbour was out doing the same. Apparently nobody likes a Filthy Grass.

Paranoia

Chill out - maybe listen to some UB40, got this one on:

There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat
When you open your mouth you don't talk, you shout
And you give every body the blame,
But when they catch you up,
They will shut you up
And you got no one to blame
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat

There's a rat in me kitchen
When you out on the street,
You practice lies and deceit
And you scandalize my name
But when I catch you up
I'm gonna pull you up
I'm gonna check-out inside your brain
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat

When yo deh pon the scene,
You make everyone scream
Because they know your so unjust
But when they catch you up
They will kick you up
Because you someone they cannot trust
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat

You invade my space
Make me feel disgraced
And you just don't give a damn
If I had my way
If I had my say
I'd like to see you hang
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me kitchen what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
I'm gonna fix that rat

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

If you give a man a picture of a fish, he will spout delusional sh1te on an internet forum every day, until the end of his bitter, miserable lifetime.

Apart from the gang smashing reported up thread.

But seemingly gangs smashed since Starmer took over don't count for the half wits.

I heard that both the asylum claims that started to be processed under the 14 years of Tory rule have now been completed.

So that's two sorted out, from the 120,000 backlog that the Conservatives created. BlushShocked

When they opted for the very catchy "Stop the Boats" slogan - I bet you thought they were going try and stop them arriving - rather than grind to a halt the process that might see them leaving.

This is the scorecard for last week at close of play yesterday:
Date        Migrants arrived        Boats arrived        Boats involved in uncontrolled landings        Notes
    14 October 2024        108        2        0
    15 October 2024        176        3        0
    16 October 2024        0        0        0
    17 October 2024        48        1        0
    18 October 2024        647        10        0
    19 October 2024        0        0        0
    20 October 2024        0        0        0

    Totals:        979        16        0

When they saw the forecast for stormy weather, they got a move on and 10 boats got through on Friday.  If we could block the weather apps on their phones, perhaps it would hinder their progress!
"Notes" is blank as usual, so I assume no boats were sent back to France and no gangs were smashed last week

It's got even worse.  The Notes column is blank again, so I assume that no gangs were smashed again last week...as usual.  Labour were blaming the high numbers on the summer making it easier to cross.  But we have already had the first of the Autumn storms and the numbers keep on increasing.

4,190 migrants arrived in September 2024, down from 4,729 during the same month a year earlier. A time series, opens new tab of UK government figures on small boat arrivals shows 7,964 migrants arrived in September 2022; 4,602 in September 2021; and 1,946 in September 2020.
By:
.Marksman.
When: 30 Oct 24 10:45
But this year, we have now surpassed the number of illegal (irregular) migrants who arrived in all of last year.  As for  the mention of storms, I was pointing out that Starmer had been using the summer as a reason for increased crossings but now, in Autumn, they are still flooding in despite worsening weather.  It's almost as if they feel more welcome here under a Labour government.
