The obvious thing is if the Union Jack is under attack , DEFEND it
Because the attacker will be a wrong ‘ un . It’s as simple as that

ah yes the common wealth that pile of sh1te that welcomed irekand as a single state after the original troubles.
Worse thing about the commonwealth is that GB tries to manipulate it.  Countries involved have to constantly be on the watch against the UK because they can influence laws to gain more wealth, power, and authority over its masses. If the wrong people can gain power within a commonwealth government, they can change laws and processes, which often cause severe disruption to the way the GB wants to control the commonwealth process...... and expose it for what it really is. The last vestiges of the British Empire.

"Common" "Wealth"

what a misnomer .....
By:
mitolo
When: 28 Jul 22 20:40
the uk does not 'manipulate'. it sends millions in aid to all of them. the uk has no influence on its laws, if it did so many of them would not outlaw homosexuality or impose the death sentence. any of them are free to leave; instead there are states that want to join, as have gabon and togo recently.

the idea the uk wants to gain power and wealth from such states is risible. its quite the opposite.

and btw, the british empire is reviled in the british education system. ask any teacher or read any textbook, as i have. horrible histories is a textbook.

So when are  the 54 member countries of the Commonwealth going to share their common wealth more equitably?  30 of its countries have less than two million people and represent some of the worlds poorest economies. I think you owe it to the Windrush generation to smashthe glass palace ....
By:
mitolo
When: 28 Jul 22 21:06
stop googling you fool. the only glass palace was the crystal one that went up in flames. why dont they all scarper if its so bad? why are their economies so poor? there are similar countries with far less. whats wrong with them? why is it always incumbent on the west to solve their problems?

"the uk has no influence on its laws"

maybe thats because when you cease to be democratic you get chucked out like  Fiji, South Africa, Nigeria etc etc

no influence ?

hold on ...the basic rules state you have to be a democratic nation .....like the UK
By:

you answer your own question

if its a Common Wealth why are there countries in it with poor economies ?

its clearly not a common wealth is it ?

you castigate the uk for insisting on democracy- a strange position to take.

you are now playing silly semantics. are you proposing we should change the name because every penny is not distributed equally? theres a  reason some are what they are and even you couldnt blame the uk for it. culture plays a big part and holds them back.

you are unreasonable. you can be anti and reasonable but you are not

Woke/SJW nonsense. Pretty who scream that certain things are "hate" symbols are usually the most vile hateful people who want people they disagree with dead.

mitolo do you honestly think a common wealth can ever be achieved

not an anti

just aware that there will always be inequalities in people , how can you justify diversity in a "common" wealth where unity is of primary importance , why are their rules about factions within commonwealth communities or any government by force ....every government in the commonwealth governs by force .....democratoc or otherwise.

Busy here going through my list of 'mentalists' from around there, tis quite long but a slim chance i could have bumped into you.
Hard cases but mostly sound.
Very 'boys from the blackstuff' in the 80's,not that i miss it too much, it was absolutely feckless, some plus points but few with a half good outcome.
You put me back in a time capsule.

its 1.01 we were in the same queue. half of norf laundon was. tis weird indeed. different world and seems a lifetime ago. i was a child. and a mug punter. id cash me cheque and leg it straight into hills and do most of it in. thankfully, they didnt stay open late then.

We were all children really, not a lot of cop on,you have a good head on you now and sometimes paths lead to funny ways.
ha,it was some business enterprise,a very long queue cashing dodgy cheques, it all went back into the economy and we hold our heads high there!
By:

pity it ended so badly for him.

all went into the local economy. dont remember buying an isa. if i did someone else has it.

did you also frequent the boston down the road? that was a craic late doors. we had some savage lock-ins there.

i notice oour paths have diverged politically since then, not that im a regular on here and mostly keep out of it as im wary of being banned again. ive read some of your stuff and i wont call you any of the names i call the other wanchors on here. but its fair to say i disagree with some but not all of it.
By:

When: 28 Jul 22 23:18
Boston rings a bell but to be honest i don't have too much of a recollection, lived a lot in east London but worked for was mostly North.
No worrys re differing politically,i understand some of what i am up inherently up against and can agree/not dispute if a bit reasoned.
At this point in time with 'mankind' not sure should there be any difference whatsoever with anyone,it should be all good, there is enough, very simplistic i know but no one should be struggling but...
A hundred or two years time probably people will say what the feck was going on,we do it now.
