I had been backing Sunak (after holding a £400+ red for weeks) and traded myself out of a hole.

I'm beginning to doubt "More of the same" sunak is going to pull this off and might start laying him

At this point I think even Zahawi could be selected leader Crazy

Its falling apart, rumours of Labour going to call a vote of no confidence and we see a snap selection in the autumn whoever is leader

The whole thing is a joke

Why so many chucking their hat in? That tells us theres no solid leadership at all amd with the coming food shortage in late August...

Most of the candidates are already from the Brexit party.

No true Tory wants restrictions on trade to the EU.

Rishi Sunak is the man who brought down Boris Johnson.

Today I want to talk about how he worked with remainer campaign groups to do it, and how he is a part of the ongoing soft coup to stop Brexit.

The EU is tariff free

Only on some goods.

Have a reread of my post... What the cartel where they all trade free of restrictions... call the police

Currently UK businesses face tons of red tape to export to the EU. Take our fishing industry, every crate of fish requires veterinary forms & certificates. Many small to medium size food exporters have simply given up exporting to the UK because the lack of a vetenary agreement makes it simply unprofitable.

If Patel runs, then herself, Braverman and Badenoch should make the guesstimated 20 supporters to get on the ballot paper. If it's 36 required for the first ballot vote, at least one of them will be going out and possibly all three.

Patel? The level of delusion in Tory MPs must be at record levels.

As yet none of them have explained how they would pay for their tax cuts. They are making Keir Starmer look good.

Its insane.

The cost of lockdown crisis is horrific. Over 1,000 excess deaths a week now. Cancer patients not seen. Heart disease and attacks up. Cannot see a GP. Ambalances not turning up.

Lockdowns have brought the NHS to its knees. We cannot just flick a switch and sort it out.

The NI rise (that many candidates want to cancel) was to pay for social care. What happens to that now? Can kicked down the round?

In the mean time we still have Liz Truss talking about the 'environment'.

These people need to get their priorities straight. Health, energy and food are basic human needs. Luxuaries like netZero and giving handouts to the whole world are not.

Conservative Leadership Contest Update (10/07):

Nominations:

Sunak: 33 (+10)
Mordaunt: 21 (+14)
Tugendhat: 15 (+8)
Badenoch: 13 (+7)
Truss: 13 (+1)
Zahawi: 13 (+4)
Hunt: 12 (+4)
Patel: 11 (New)
Braverman: 10 (+1)
Javid: 10 (+7)
Shapps: 7 (+6)

The $64,000 question is:

As they whittle it down to 4 candidates, will enough of the drop out's supporters switch to Sunak to get him into the last 2?

Are the conservative MP's backing "More of the Same"?

The more I think about it the more I just cannot see members allowing Sunak to take it.

66% voted for Boris last time. He has clearly been taken out over minor issues (not a laptop containing thousands of business emails or deals with taxis apps when they were potentially breaking laws). They wanted Boris out because of Brexit. They are well funded and well organised.

The evidence is stacking up that the whole last few months was a campaign to oust Boris for nothing.

The first photo is suspected to have come from number 11 in December. The one that tiggered the downfall of Boris and potentially Brexit. Readyforrishi domain was also registered at that time.
