Nasdaq up 3.5%
Potential lower oil prices Driving the movement ![]() |
|
By:
I hope that this mini bounce holds. It would only take a chemical bomb from Putin to collapse the market again.
|
|
By:
As long as oil is above 100 bucks it will lid these market upswings
|
|
By:
for now anyway
wait for Fed next week imo 25 basis point hike incoming ? wow they are really set on tackling this inflation and helping the people out of ever spiralling prices.. heroes |

Positive note from Putin
Market spikes retail buys fade this move |
|

It could be worse. You could have all your money in Bitcoin, eh leopard ?
![]() |
|
By:
Nowt wrong with btc moves polly if you got the balls and maybe the bull run is over for now
currently tracking the s+p and might well even challenge 30-33k$ at some point again not worried in the slightest as I am always my own bank btw the last time we had this converstion bitcoin was exactly at these levels |
|
By:
Lol, Bitcoin is down 27% in a year. You must be struggling.
|
|
By:
If you gamble recklessly on an extremely volatile market like Bitcoin, it's only a question of time before you get a hammering.

lol it's been happening for months ..... thought you were well versed in all things economy being such a successful business man how do you feel about having your pockets pinched the last 2 years polly ? did your premium bonds cover the inflation spike lol ? my bitcoin did just that btw wake up polly ![]() |
|
By:
He is right in the sense that if you have stayed in premium bonds you've been rooted, and continue being rooted.
I did warn you against that if I recall correctly. |
|
By:
lol punter
us younguns managed to get an understanding of bitcoin quite a few years ago market could drop to 3000$ and I'd still be in profit and would not sell either I;m multiple times my initial investment meanwhile you're hard earned is being stolen by the central banks every fkin minute keep trying |
|
By:
If you had understood what was happening during the crisis back in 08/09 you would've bought btc/xau/xag maybe as insurance
but sounds like you stuck with government iou's best o luck ![]() |
|
By:
Lol, you have lost 27% in a year.
You would be as well walking in to a casino and sticking the lot on red or black. |
|
By:
I have not lost anything as I have not sold
You don't understand what's going on the last 10 years do you ? the monetary system is fkkked |
|
By:
I understand the value of bitcoin has gone down 27% in a year.

I was able to retire at fifty five after having a successful business. I own three properties outright and am financially secure for life. Please don't try and lay your get rich quick schemes on me because, as you have found out, the downside is massive.
|
|
By:
You are not wrong with that statement but I don't mark to market
If you own the asset that's all good , never mind marking it to toilet paper fiat some people also bought gold after 08 for the same reason doing pretty fkin well also having both in your armour is a massive plus at these times unlike premium bonds real estate will protect you for a little while until things get calamitous and they will I can assure you of that |
|
By:
I was able to retire at fifty five after having a successful business.
can't have been that succesful I retired years before that |
|
By:
Premium bonds are a very small part of my assets. They are secure, the winnings are tax free and you can cash them in without penalty at short notice. Who knows, perhaps a big return may come calling. Bricks and mortar is the most solid long term investment anyone can ever make.
|
|
By:
Who cares if what you are stating is true or not. Keeping money in premium bonds when true inflation is circa 10% is tantamount to setting a portion of the notes on fire. If you have three properties or thirty three, that would remain a fact.
|
|
By:
A big return
![]() bitcoin is up over 1000% since covid low I'd say that covers a bit of inflation ![]() you'd better hope we don't go hyperinflation cos real estate will not keep pace |
|
By:
Just you keep guessing/gambling. If you keep losing 27% per annum, you won't have to guess much longer.
|
|
By:
lol troll
markets backed off after Putin statement almost look manipulative... again cover short s+P here and in the bath .. week is ova |
|
By:
your being ridiculously selective with your 27% pp.
anyone regaling against Bitcoin, is up against the reality that some very smart players have put chunky money into it, Buffet & $1 billion for example. so for some one to categorically claim its a total Ponzi with zero merit is going to have be intellectually on par with Warren buffet. And of course, the only person on BF forum like that is me (Joke, it's fffin joke, don't think I'm serious etc etc, have to point this out coz wow, some people) |

your, you're, ure, ewer

Bitcoin cash machines ordered to shut down in UK
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-60709209 The FCA said: "We regularly warn consumers that crypto-assets are unregulated and high-risk which means people are very unlikely to have any protection if things go wrong. "People should be prepared to lose all their money if they choose to invest in them." |

I'd have said the last 2 posts were total over the top even a few months ago,i do respect your views and anything seems liable to happen.
I think UK farmers aren't going to bother to sow crops in a lot of cases, why, fertiliser, fuel,no help, they aren't going to lose money and can't blame them, another bit to the jigsaw |

The boiled frog analogy. All of the willing idiots were claiming that inflation was transitory. Yeah, right.

As for 'transitory Cider it was the Fed who tried to put people away with those lies
Powell and Yellen in particular everyone knew they were lying, well apart from the idiots |
