And now the express is complaining that UK is to
be left out of a eu transport system. Lol, get over it, we left. |
By:
Levelling up seems to be more of an
EU thing, and less of a UK Conservative government thing |
By:
Saw that with the European transport system, building HS2 thingies all over the gaff, sounds a very sensible idea with upgrading infrastructure
By:
This after the EU ,has given 8 bn to Hungary to upgrade its infrastructure ,the illegal economic migrants will be very grateful.

The weights and measures thing is just custom, I find coffee sold in 227g packets, what's that if it's not half a pound? On French markets you could legitimately buy un livre de jambon ou fromage in the days I lived there. People even talked in old francs that had long become centimes by a cosmetic readjustment well before the invention of the euro.
HS2 was part of the EU infrastructure planning while we were a member and is of course an expensive white elephant given the size of our island and the population density of England. In the wide open spaces of much of Europe you can draw a line between A and B and plant a railway along it, but not so here considering property values and planning laws, as a consequence much of the new railway line has had to go through tunnels. Why would anyone want the EU interfering with our infrastructure, it's none of their business unless they offer to pay for it. |
By:
Tell the express, they seem mega bothered we are falling
further behind euro railways. |
By:
Such a shame , this was a good topic to get
the remainers frothing at the mouth .. can you imagine if it had even been implemented lol |
By:
Donny a Daily Express man. Who'd have thunk it.
By:
The Daily Express should be thanking the EU for faster links,it will benefit Brits who are on a European break, they can zip quickly and cheaply to another city.
This will work if no passports are shown. |
By:
Great point shrewd dude, nice to know
you are reading and felt the urge to join in but had nowt, so just made yourself look stupider than usual. |
By:
Just thought it was interesting seeing you get your knickers in a twist about a Daily Express article.
Must have been a quiet festive period on the Brexit news front for you to scrape that barrel. |
By:
No surprise to see ---you-have-to-laugh--- throwing around insults
By:
Lol, why not bring your interlect to the debate
rather than trying to troll me again |
By:
Respond to any of his posts, as forumites will do, and he calls you a troll.
You have to laugh. |
By:
yhtl best to ignore those trolls , they’re sad , petty mean individuals
with small peanuts |

It's now definitive that Vote Leave broke election spending law. They dropped the case on Friday afternoon in the hope that no one would notice.
By:
@ElectoralCommUK findings that Vote Leave broke the law, and the statement that had it not been Advisory they would have declared it null and void?

Sadiq Khan;
' Brexit has reduced the UK's economy by 6%,an annual cost of £140 billion,by 2035 it is expected to be 10%' (source RTE) Quite a staggering number! |
By:
Khan and RTE, I'll bet they are impartial regarding Brexit
What was Khan's source? He doesn't know what will happen tomorrow let alone 11 years from now. |
By:
Also in Bloomberg and the Financial Times,Khans source are economic consultants, Cambridge Econometrics..
Whether you view them as impartial or not, that is moot as it has some substance,it won't be reported on the likes of the BBC as it shows a very negative reminder of the majority of British voters. |
By:
The BBC is full of rejoiner types. I don't know wtf it has to do with Ireland or the Irish anyway so why are you posting? There's plenty going on over there you can amuse yourself with.
By:
It was an important thing for Ireland, Patel wanted to starve the Irish. The consensus was it would wreck the Irish economy which wasn't given any consideration.
You have fecked up Foinavon,by 2035 a bleak outlook, you have got this so wrong. |
By:
Our borders are still open for Irish goods although some of us refuse to buy anything coming from the Republic. Your statement about Patel is hyperbole. Perhaps you should consider Charlie's contention on a recent thread regarding the deployment of tanks, we have been too kind to you guys. You are wrong about Brexit, it was a good decision. Enjoy your future as a pimple on the backside of Brussels and do as you are told by the unelected bureaucrats, you know it makes sense.
By:
Disappointing day on your upskirting in Eastbourne then Foinavon !

Oh, you are a wag.

must be tough with all those burqas about..... heartfelt commisserations

By:
no backsides....no pimples ?
By:
You should be more concerned about the EU pimple, Brussels will keep swelling its population with quotas of new arrivals. More unrest is predicted.
By:
Its you that should be worried.
Brussels knows how to control the input. You on the other hand don't. |
By:
I don't think they do and our politicians are as stupid as yours.
By:
i dont know anything about Spanish politicians and I know you dont
By:
You are begging the EU Foinavon to keep those as you said borders open for goods. You cannot implement brexit and you have no control, do your brexit and as said by the former brexit minister you will be committing 'self harm'.
Defer again at the end of the month, you have no choice. |
By:
Calm down laps you sound so bitter and repetitive ,the only reason nobody engages you on these "checks" is that they have proven to be so unnecessary and insignificant.
Better spend your time on the high quality and informative 1.42 Naas |
By:
As for the contribution from Sadiq Khan, it is just not credible. He claims that Brexit has cost 2 million jobs at a time when there are a million job vacancies so where exactly would those 2 million people have come from to fill those jobs? They do talk utter rubbish. I can understand that London would be hit harder than (say) rural Somerset but his figures are pure fiction.
By:
We have had all the scaremongering before from Khan ,BOE ,FT ,BBC ,LSE ,the CBI the Guardian and many more ,they have all proved to be ,biased untrue ,incompetent and sad propaganda.
The chief economics editor of the Guardian has even confirmed that they were wrong but to quote raving woke Sadiq Khan smacks of desperation. |
By:
Hello Flat, i was trying to be forthright more than anything, this is not as far as i know as insignificant as you think, it is a legal requirement of brexit. (checks).
Easy to gloss over this point as it makes a mockery of the process to now. As for that 1.42, a cracker and may well provide the Albert Bartlett winner, other than the complete outsider all have a chance and if they were 8 i may have gone Croke Park or Lecky Watson EW, i am in dire horse picking form and v careful lately. |
By:
Reassured of your concern laps but to use a European phrase "manana" we will comply when we are bored shitless and have nothing better to do.
Agree poss' cheltenham horses ,FF is a unimaginative selection but a likeable uncomplicated type @2/1 |
