Galloway saw the obvious cHink and went for it, Labour had already damaged themselves by putting her up. This is hardcore Islam round here.

By:
till proven otherwise i assume all tory,s bat for the other side if the price is right, as stephen fry says if paying for a private education doesnt guarantee a bumming behind the bike sheds ,what the fook does

your sister gets gunned down by a far right nut job and people wont vote for someone in uk 2021 because of their sexual preference, people would scream if it was pointed out we,re not that far ahead of a 3rd world bASKET CASE COUNTRY --------------------------------------------- It's the people with third world ideas that will never accept homosexuality, they absolutely cannot or they are saying the book is wrong. The majority of the country probably couldn't care less. |

By:
go to bed next thurs night chuffed with yourself for voting galloway wake up with an mp who supports people who thinks yopur mrs is a bank robber, letter box etc, etc, go figure
By:
Yep, also probably never sighted in the constituency again after election night.
By:
I suspect most of the country would agree that towns with many women walking around hooded is not really desirable in the UK tbh.
By:
Look at the main three candidates...
Labour...close community connection, works and lives in constituency. Tory..Parachuted in, no connection or sight of in constituency. Galloway.. Couldn't give a toss about anyone except himself. |
By:
Labour, only joined the party about 3 weeks ago?
By:
No, she was in the party previously.
By:
There were two or three prominent local Muslims fancied the candidacy, but they shoved them aside for a Lesbian. I cant see George getting them all with his anti-gay education spiel but a split, certainly.
By:
There is no possible chance whatsoever that every muslim will vote for George.
By:
Effectively Galloway is now a Conservative. He voted tory in the recent Holyrood elections and encouraAged everyone to do so. Now he is the tories little helper, anything to stop Labour.
By:
How desperate are the Leftards...putting up a candidate hoping she gets in on a sympathy vote...all common sense has left the building...worst Tory government in a generation and you are still getting battered in the polls
By:
The left want shot of starmer
for not supporting corbyn. Another step for them. Johnson not affected by the by election Pettiness comes into play. Easy division to sow. |

From the Daily Mail...
A senior Tory source involved in the campaign said: 'We are worried about Galloway. The question mark is all about turnout. 'We have got to get our vote out, and we should win it. I think Galloway will hoover up the Muslim vote - almost all of it. 'He should get around 12,000 votes - although it depends on turnout. If we get 14,000 we should be alright. Labour look like getting 6,000. 'Galloway is the threat. Labour is f*****.' They added: 'No doubt about it, I think Galloway has destroyed the Labour Party in this seat. I was trying to work out some figures according to this on the spot report from the constituency. Galloway would get roughly 33%. Smarkets have a market up where they are offering 5.3 on Galloway getting 15% or more. If that report is correct (I am not saying it is) that Smarkets price looks crazy. |
By:
I reckon if you put Rolf Harris on the ballot sheet he would get a good 10-15%...there's a fair chunk of the Batley and Spen electorate who can really identify with him
By:
Tory said that to split Labour vote
Make folk think a Galloway vote isn't wasted Straight out of lib dem play book. |
By:
Starmer's leadership could be on the line here.
By:
80 seat majority .seat is neither here no there ,if labour are going to lose they should sicken galloway off and all vote for him,he,d be fuming if he was made to be a constituency mp for a seat in tyhe middle of nowhere, and it keeps the tory out and we,ll get some entertaining shoite from him in commons,he might even lick johnsons feet live on tv at pmq,s
By:
Galloway is a little bit like Trump is now - determined to wreak havoc and exact revenge on those he believes have wronged him
By:
he even has the reality TV star appeal
By:
Looks like labours treacherous policy of flooding Britain with eager Muslims who will be grateful and vote for the party of middle class London centric is a spectacular failure.
All that Rs locking seems to be in vain. |
By:
UK Muslim population has grown uniformly whatever party was in power. macarony which policy was this?
By:
Open door and relaxing of the immigration rules unless you suggest that the immigration policy of the tories in the 90s was equal to that of tony Blair? Seem to remember tony singing up to the criminals charter
By:
Asians have been coming to the UK for many years and will continue to do so irrespective of whichever party was in government in the past or indeed, in the future.

Another fiction created by a crazed mind

By:
'Tracy Brabin, the newly elected mayor of West Yorkshire, said she was leafleting with colleagues, volunteers and campaigners in the Whitaker Street area of Batley on Sunday when they were followed, verbally abused and physically assaulted by a group of young men.'
Brabin, who was the Labour MP for the constituency before winning the metro mayor job in May, said: “The group I was with included young people and the elderly. I witnessed them being egged, pushed and forced to the ground and kicked in the head.” .......................................... No description of the young men but you can guess who. I am surprised that the Mayor is able to go round leafletting for any political party, I thought they would want to appear even handed to the whole electorate of wherever they are. |
By:
They've made mayor a political office.
I don't recall mayor of london leaving political party he was elected under. |
By:
I've no idea donny, new round here. Seems odd being another political layer above local Gov, I'm guessing the turnout for these things is low?
By:
I don't recall mayor of london
leaving political party he was elected unde Livingston got kicked out of the labour party he had been mayor and leader of the GLC |
By:
Labour wanted local tiers under
Prescott, but we voted against it. Both parties seem keen on mayors taking power off councils. Too much politics in these things and folk hijacking party name to form cabals. Pleased Durham Council is free of labour group, that I feared would be there sine die. My council area has elected independants for over 10 years now. Was 3 Labour when we moved here, set for life of gravy... |
By:
Some of the stuff going on in this by election is disgusting.
By:
isnt the local /latest tory loon ben bradley mayor of something as well as remaining mp for MACC
By:
Notts Council?
By:
You have to love Labour,in Hartlepool they pick a staunch remainer to contest the seat, then in batley they pick a candidate who’s been a member of the party all of 3 weeks over 2 Asian hopefuls to run on a lgbt ticket in a constituency that has a 20% block homophobic vote.do they actually want to win a by election ,no wonder Galloway saw his chance.
By:
What I am hearing from the constituency is that voters like Kim but they don't like Labour and particularly Starmer. You have to say that perhaps this seat was lost irrespective of the labour candidate. Galloway has simply made it probably beyond doubt.
By:
Who do you know in Batley?
By:
I don't know anyone that lives in Batley.
By:
Clearly. 'voters like Kim'
The non Labour voting white people don't like her and the muslims don't like her. That would be quite a majority that don't like her. |
By:
You would be surprised. She is popular but the odds are clearly against her, mostly thanks to Galloway.
