Do you know how courts work?
By:
Yep, if there is evidence of mass fraud, then Trump has a case. No evidence, no case.
By:
Why are they ordering recounts then PP
There must be something in it |
By:
Nothing to do with Democrats. Any Trump lawsuit will be with the persons in charge of the count.
By:
If the police arrest me for murder, they have evidence of it, I then have to defend myself in court
By:
A recount can be ordered if the voting totals are very close, ie, less than 1%. All standard stuff, no suggestion of foul play.
By:
The evidence might not be enough to find me guilty
But I've been taken to court for the murder on that evidence So the democrats should be forced in to defend themselves |
By:
SS you seem to think recounts suggest something wrong. Each state will have it's own laws as to when an automatics recount would be necessary. Evidence being key eh SS
By:
There must be evidence already because their ordering recounts
By:
SS, Trumps legal team have no case against the Democratic Party. They are trying to create a case against the folks who conducted counts.
By:
As far as I can make out, Trumps best chance is to claim certain votes should not have been counted. I believe this is the route they are pursuing.
By:
Target the weak first, get them singing like canaries and trust me they will
Then go after the cheats second when you've got witnesses to it |
By:
Someone was saying on the other thread that so far Trumps legal team have lost sixteen court cases so far and won zero as they have no evidence of anything untoward.
By:
Well that's utter b0llocks because he's got 1 state to order a recount
By:
Read again what I said about recounts SS
By:
the laws of Georgia mean a recount is happening.
By:
SS, the recount is standard procedure in a close result. There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing.
By:
Just to say there will likely be a recount in Wisconsin and Arizona too. Pennsylvania perhaps as well. All close results.

Electoral fraud is very rare in the United States - the detected rate is less than 0.0009%, according to a 2017 study by the Brennan Center for Justice.
There, I've corrected the above assertion for you and the BBC, politicspunter. Less than 0.16% of the balls bowled, 2 from 1255 legal deliveries, were r*gged in the August 2010, 4th Test Match of the England v Pakistan Series. However, those two deliveries, ultimately, resulted in mass media attention and 3 Pakistan cricketers being jailed. Generally speaking, those who commit fraud do so with the aim of gaining money and/or power. Usually, fraudsters would prefer that their activity was not detected. Generally speaking again, most fraudsters would not particularly desire to spend time in jail as a result of said fraud. All of that greatly limits the situations in which fraud could reasonably be expected to be conducted effectively. It would be somewhat ambitious and difficult to attempt to r*g the outcome of the Presidential race in the states of California or Oklahoma, given the expected distribution and number of legal votes. It may be a little less challenging to illicitly influence the outcome of a close Mayoral race in Chicago or, possibly, in states with close Presidential races. |

Been paid out on Alaska winner and popular vote winner.

Pretty sure there will only be a recount in Arizona if the count is with 1/10 of a percent, which it won't be. They also do not allow either side to request a recount. That market should be settled.

By:
No it shouldn't. Arizona hasn't been called yet.
By:
What's your definition of called?
By:
By everyone possible in order that the market can be settled. If there is any element of doubt, certain bookie/exchanges won't settle.
By:
Trump will win. His base will go nuts if he isnt chosen so military will install him
By:
Continuation: it will install him after vote recount makes him legally and democrayically the chosen president. (Forgot to add)
By:
Ah, that will be the Trump "losers and suckers" military.
By:
Lol, Trump has won Alaska and Betfair settle it right away
![]() |
By:
yes arizona isn't within recount margins def should be settled if the law case is dropped as reported.
By:
alaska still has more votes outstanding than trumps lead, so they are accepting a projection there?
By:
Yep
![]() |
By:
Could it just be that Betfair can't call many more states for Biden because they'd have to settle the next pres market.
By:
I can't think of a single reason why they haven't settled Nevada.
By:
That's a good point bingo - BF really fked this up
By:
Not only are other bookie/exchanges paying out on states, they are also paying out on the Presidential market and electoral college totals.
