the ramping as such is caused by betfair cs saying things about settlement that they shouldn't. At all times they should simply have re-stated the rules and not discussed their interpretation.
By:
Bull$hit, dave. Betfair are to be commended for being upfront about what they intend to do. You were among those kicking and screaming for June settlement.
By:
I'm United with Biscuits on this one, CS are telling you the settlement rules for this market & you've basically got your fingers in your ears while shouting "Ye but, no but..."
By:
rofl - they shouldn't say anything other than repeat the rules. The only person who has made a valid point regarding the market is Donny, who points out that resign doesn't necessarily mean step down on all occasions. I and others believe that she will be stepping down. But to state that she is in position until a new appointment is not based on any known evidence.
By:
She's resigning in order to spark a leadership contest but is remaining in office until then....on the plus side you've still got 5 days to trade out of your position.
By:
I already have traded out for a miniscule loss, so I don't care.
By:
You haven't lost until the market has been settled, you can still turn that loss into a win.
By:
dave
i think the rule she is leader until replaced is based on untested convention. as in, untested for punting purposes, as it doesnt really matter, except to us punters....or hadnt previously mattered fingers crossed her statement will clarify her position re tory party leadership. |
By:
I've got my fingers & toes crossed my June odds on lays get matched.

We can debate on here as much as we like but betfair shouldn't say anything other than repeat their rules. Saying things like a new leader being "sworn in" merely amplifies their appearance of incompetence.
By:
Why gripe, Mr Lucky, when you can trade? The golden rule is don't be greedy.
By:
I agree initially there wasn't a lot of confusion from CS after the incompetent May announced her departure time table last Friday, but the rules of the market have now been clarified by the powers that be otherwise known as 'The Traders'.
By:
The market is saying "We don't believe you". Reason why if you must.

It is likely to get more dangerous as we approach 7 June when one side or the other could collapse. I have no skin in this at the moment.
By:
if many more declare then july could be struggling, for new leader, if not
may leaving date. |
By:
Possibly. At the moment I'm looking forward to a football match later in the day.

Latest update from my source at the 1922 committee Larry The Downing Street Cat is Trump's going to piss off May so much next week she's going to flip the bird to the worlds press & walk out of office.

By:
No, I'm happy to have June max red on the basis of what I've been advised by CS staff on several occasions since May announced her departure timetable last Friday.
By:
Oh. So not too soon then.
By:
I'm happy to have alot of skin in this game ready for the July price, next week there's going to go even more candidates throwing their hats into the ring, the only chance of a June settlement is Trump is telling May he's got a big June bet on this market & he'll give her a cut if she decides to vacate Downing Street early.
By:
would be fun if hes been punting on here !
By:
Think May is more likely to flip Trump the bird & remain in office after the things she's said , remember this is the country she loves.
By:
*if she decides to vacate Tory leadership
By:
A clutch on here, already angry, imagining they can impose their will on Betfair and make them settle.
Anyone else getting the popcorn in on 7th June? |
By:
as i said i've settled for a tiny loss - the sub 1.1 backers will be the ones trying to impose their will
By:
Sensible imo, dave. Hope I've helped you save a few bob.
By:
rofl you didn't - the people backing june into evens did. And CS idiots of course.
By:
You are the most uniformed poster in this thread. I can't think of anything you've said that isn't wrong.
By:
Why are CS idiots, dave?

Except the essential choice, you peevish little man. |

Those backing June into 1.6 allowed me to green up and have a free 4fig payout bet on June
