From the betting looks like Labour will hold on here. Hopefully the majority will be cut massively. The more heat on Corbyn

the better - he and his cronies are leading the party to destruction. I dont want to hear any more about his phukkin mandate.

Being supported by a couple of hundred thousand loony left does not constitute a mandate from the British people.

It's been p*ssing down this evening so turnout is likely to be heavily down for those who work 9-5.

Need to wait for the count. If they are saying that it means they think they haven't done enough on the day.

That would be my interpretation anyway.

UKIP have said they think they won on the day but lost on postal votes.

It would be interesting to see the postal votes returned separately so the public could understand how distorted this can be. When I campaigned in our Labour seat 20 years ago I saw box after box of postal votes all solid Labour from various points,it stank but can never be confidently disputed to the elctoral commission.

I've reported actual fraud by Labour to EC they don't do anything about it because it drives turnout up, the key goal of the EC.

I'm hoping they break down the postal votes to wards. I won't hold my breath.

Rumour that over 50% are postal votes. Ouch, might not be close.

At least 5-1 on postal votes it seems. Although as always with these claims take them with a pinch of salt.

Now 25% are going to be postal votes.

Lab have won it.

Will probably need to wait until Monday for the breakdown.

I took about 20% profit on my original stake.

That is a stunning result.

A ten thousand majority is phenomenal and depressing, its also against all predictions.

In fairness its time to take your cap off to Anxious and others who called this right.

It's another salient reminder that Labour's core voting group are now pretty much found within the Peace-Loving Community. Hence Labour's shameful (and shameless) willingness, for example, to tolerate the nauseating Segregated Meetings.
