Looks like there's about 250 registered for tomorrow nights MTT already, but I haven't got a ticket despite generating more than the 50 points required playing 2 or more cash tables yesterday.

1player point is 4 betfair betting commision points.

Yeah I was sure it was either 3 and a half or four poker points to a player point. According to my statement I got 213 playing cash games, at which point I quit. However when I go onto the promo page the monitor thing that shows how much progress you have made is only halfway across.
Had a feeling this would be farcical, and of course there will be nobody in the Promotions Dept over the weekend to chase up tickets for people. Given they cant get data to update a weekly leaderboard once a week for STT'S have a feeling the MON,TUES,WEDS, Promo will be a shambles too. |

Doesn't look like I'm getting my ticket. Only 342 runners at the moment so looks like a fair few have missed out. If there's loads of discos could be really good value an all.

Cant be boshed to rack up points today and tomorrow for the next one, all seems a bit pointless. Was going to have a stab at the sit no go leaderboard thing Mon, Tues, Weds, but as they haven't been able to update the weekly one for about 3 weeks it doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it ?

Will try and speak to someone at BF about this next week, and if I dont get any joy will raise it at Q and A session a week Monday. At the very least players should get tickets for the next Freeroll.
If anyone thinks they generated the points required on Thursday but didn't get a ticket, if your post your usernames on this thread I will include you in my email. |

According to gnasher 4 Betfair poker points equals one player point. So if he is right you would have needed to generate 200 Betfair poker points on Thursday 1st December, playing at least 2 cash tables at the same time.
The problem of course is that while you can check your BF poker points going via "MY ACCOUNT" to your BF points statement, I've no idea how you check player points. Its also complicated if like me you also play STTS, as its difficult to distinguish between points generated playing cash and those generated playing STTS. I generated about 500 points on Thursday according to my statement, but it would be impossible for me to prove at least 200 of them were gained via cash games where I was playing at least 2 tables. I've no idea why they leave so little time between the qualification period and the Freeroll, especially when the promotions team only seem to work 9-5 Mon-Fri. |

I got 3 "new player" $2500 tickets in my account :) I had 3 missed calls from Betfair to my mobile and I suspect that's where they came from. Afaik they have low numbers so it will work out around $30 of buy ins.

Basically you get 5 poker player points for every &1 of rake paid, (or 1 point for every 20c). So whenever I try for such promos, I check players club for points total before I start and then check after so long to confirm that I've achieved enough points.

Obviously some of the promotions team work weekends, but that tends to be on live events like BF Prague next weekend. The bods manning the phones today would merely be message takers, with no real power to do anything. I sent an email off late yesterday afternoon, more in hope than expectation.

Checking players club before and after is only going to give you an accurate picture so long as you play cash only in that session. If, like me, you are playing the odd STT and MTT in the same session it gets more complicated.
From day one with Ongame we have had a recurring problem with any promotion or leaderboard that requires them to capture data and act upon it or pass it onto Betfair. It doesn't work, it has never worked, and it probably never will work. At least with the last few promotions they seemed to have learnt their lesson and allowed at least 4 or 5 days after the qualification period ended and the MTT started to sort out the mess. With this one the qualification period ended at midnight on Thursday and the MTT was Saturday night. Given no fker with any clout at Betfair works Saturdays it was a recipe for disaster. Given there's a handful of regs on here didn't get tickets, God alone knows how many others didn't. I was out all day yesterday but it took me about 10 minutes when I got in around 5pm to suss out something wasn't right. No idea why someone paid to run these things at Ongame didn't given every single similar promo they have runthere have been people who shouldhave had tickets who didn't get them. Pretty sure current chip leader ( Raith Rover ) is a regular who posts on here from time to time, so hopefully he will make the top 10. |

Yes sorry Gnasher, I didn't relise that they had changed the formula, but your right it is 4 points for every $1.
You have my sympathies Chip and you quite right about the failure to issue tickets. I know of 2 people who didn't get tickets for the 'mo' promotion and that again caused problems as the tournament was cancelled at no notice. I'm sure there will be more than the 7 original entries in the rescheduled tournament on Wednesday. |

Yeah m8, I actually finished miles 1st when it got down to last 10 before the 'all in fest' so have a shiny new Ipad on the way (despite the fact I haven't a clue what it does....I struggle to send a text message on my mobile phone as it is) Regards the poker points, there was a bar at the top when you went into the promotion on the calendar which went up as you played, it DID go up alot slower than I expected to be fair, took me at least an hour playing 2 x 1$/1$ omaha heads up tables (and that racks up points) |

*yeah, just checked, in the calendar, the 'tick' goes blue from grey once the bar is full if thats any use for you in upcoming ones.

Clearly the issue here is this bar, monitor, thing, is updated by Ongame, and you are totally reliant upon it giving an accurate reflection of your play. I'm pretty certain I generated 213 Betfair points playing cash, which should have taken me just over the 50 player points, but the bar never went beyond halfway. I did play 2 sessions of cash, with an STT session either side of it, so wonder if that's knocked their calculator sideways ? |

Chip do u have any idea about the promo on the 14/15/16th? It says you have to play in every scheduled mtt. Is this for real? What if 200 people decide to do it?

it doesnt mean u play all of em, it means all of em count towards the leaderboard.[except sats and feeders to other comps,which account for the majority of the mtt lobby]

No idea Bruce, and I've gone beyond the point of caring. What's the point of a series of promotions where your play isn't generating points or tickets, and there is nobody you can contact to rectify the situation until it's too late ?
If they (Ongame)cant even get basic data collection sorted for a fking leaderboard or issue tickets for a freeroll, what chance have you got of them catching colluders and keeping the thing from crashing 3 times a week ? |
