is the 30% rakeback deal of old better than having the new 40% value back thing?

Could Betfair be so kind as to state definitively that once the pack has been shuffled by the TRNG absolutely no further manipulation is made in the order the cards come out on the table - ie they are dealt exactly the same as they would be in a live poker game.

I am sure this is true but I would just like it in writing. Thanks.

Dear BetfairPokerPR,
There seems to be some contradiction in the answers given to annie and petersfield on the same question:

annie: 2.  NO FIND PLAYER LISTS

answer: 2.    No buddy list – we agree that there should be a tool for players to find their friends at tables and are looking at solutions to allow this to happen.

petersfield: 3)  Can you please bring in find a player option?

answer: 3. We are reviewing this but are mindful that this has an adverse impact on learning players. Afraid we cannot promise a short term solution here.

You seem to have spewed annie's question. Does this mean you are looking at a Facebook type thing where you would have to confirm that you are friends with someone and vice versa before being on each others lists, as opposed to just being able to find fish? (rockme)

Don't know how anyone could think you are a 14 stone trucker Annie. Only a woman can do such a comprehensive list. My ex was an obsessive list writer. Pleased you got a response. Lets hope things get followed through.

18. 'YOU ARE OUT OF THIS TOURNEMENT - LEAVE' This is an awful message.  Surely it should say something like sorry you have failed this time, but better luck next time ?

Morning all
[:p]

Lets start off with Annie.
How was the film?
Anything you could recommend?

Can you expand on what you mean by "I have asked repeatedly for betfair to say that I am a woman, to no avail.  I have spoken several times over the years to supervisors of betfair who know me and know my card is registered to a woman as well.  I just get fed up as being referred to as a 14 ton"

When do staff not refer to you as a woman?

OK let's try and clear things up here.
We know that you like the ability to find people and we also know that despite having an adverse impact on learning players it is something that was popular on the old site.

Although there are no immmediate plans to implement this we have taken these comments on board and are working with Ongame to see if we can find a compromise that suits everyone. We may possibly just have this function for Betfair Players. Your suggestion about both people having to agree to let people find them is a sensible one and if this does get developed it would probably work on this principal.

We don't want to promise anything at this stage but hope we can find a solution soon.
We will keep you posted.
Happy

Hope this helps.

Here it is in writing.
Once the deck has been shuffled by the RNG no further manipulation of the cards happens. They are dealt as they would be in a casino after this process.

Thank you betfairpr, the film was okay but not something I would recommend Happy

I have not got the time at the moment to comment on your replies to me concerning the upgrade, but I would like to explain about the request for you to confirm to this forum that I am a woman.

I have been on betfair for nearly four years and for all that time my sexuality has been questioned constantly - the standard joke being that I am a sixteen stone trucker in disguise.  It may seem trivial to betfair, but it is not to me.  Posters are wary of replying to me as a woman, in case they are made to look foolish if I were a man.  I can understand this as there used to be several male posters who did use female names and pretend to be women and  there still are.

You have got a golden opportunity to right this wrong.  You have access to my records which show my debit card registered to a woman and you can speak to the customer service dept, both poker and sports, where there are several who know me by now.  Lee puddephatt, darren phillips and ed in the poker team come to mind.

It is just not the poker forum, but horseracing and chit chat where I post as well.  There  is currently another thread on chit chat at the moment saying I am a man.

Please, please, please help me  Love

Desperately trying to 'pun it up' with Michael Jackson songs/she's a bloke references here.

Must be a sick one out there regarding (no) Blood on the Dance Floor, but it is defeating me. Also, I am far too polite to do such a thing

Sorry, to understand the replies you must go down to the bottom.

Desperately trying to 'pun it up' with Michael Jackson songs/she's a bloke references here.

Then the following replies carry on that theme, i.e. 'ben', 'the way you brake your wheels' 'man in the mirror' etc etc.

This is related to all of annie's questions so kinldy ans. What is the logic behind this thinking?

The fact that one of Annies questions related to the colour of the table surely proves she is a woman.

Talking about "annie" being a woman what does everyone think of the new Pokerstars Women's league. Having sponsored Annette for over three years I know she wasn't a fan as she believed that the sexes shouldn't be separated. Cards are Cards after all and they don't favour one sex more than another. The counter argument might be that there is good value and they don't have put to up with sexist comments at the table. Is it legal to enforce?

Annie - some sad, and immature, individuals out there. You would think that once they knew you were offended by it they would stop. Hopefully Betfair will oblige you however I don't think that will stop these peep. Re SOC - all Annie has done is ask Betfair to help her - their forum after all and not too much to ask.
I would just try to ignore them. Anyways, whatever happens, I hope you continue to win :-)

i thought this was a joke originally but now i realise its serious. annie you need to realise bf have so many more important things to deal with than whether ppl address you as a woman or not on the forum. this is kind of a paradox because although it seems serious to you i'd guess everyone else treats it as a joke now.

akabula - annie can ask for help all she wants, but it has nothing to do with bf how other people decide to address her unless it contravenes the forum terms and conditions. you have all the poker customers up in arms and genuinely annoyed at real issues and someone having a moan up because they've had some banter in their direction, geez lighten up i reckon. if thats all you have to be worried about sit down and have a good think about how lucky you are.

As I have said often before, it does not offend me or annoy me - but it would just be better for me if posters knew 100% that I am a female.  If the situations were reversed, men on here would moan soon enough.  I have had four years of it.

tables of five or six places can not have normal seats.

Players can sit at the table of 5 seats on 10 seats. So everything is messy and if I play at multiple tables with Holdem manager started I can`t understand anything.

1 more advice. Option of prefered seat is mising. Am I right?

Can you not reead, six of clubs, I am not in distress over this, but it would be nice to have it sorted out - after four years.

I have noticed that you have not posted on this thread at all regarding betfair 2, only to have a go at me - so what precisely is your problem.  I spent a good deal of time typing up the niggles regarding the new site, what have you done to help fellow posters?
By:

what have i done - nothing because i dont play on here any more.

as for "my" problem, you are the person who brought it up in a public forum and now are unhappy that people are commenting on it.
why raise the issue then in a serious manner at all, and in public?

its not psychoanalysis, its an opinion. I can still have them you know.
By:

So you do not play on here anymore but feel free to critize posters who do, about a thread you have no interest in.  Unbelievable.  Are you thick or what.
By:
akabula
When: 03 Aug 10 23:21
I would assume that Annie is raising it because every time she posts on the forum someone feels the need to make a joke re '14 stone trucker' or similar.
As regards on this thread it would appear you are a lone pedant in that respect.
Finally you are right to have an opinion but it sure stunk of psychoanalysis.
Need to start a campaign - Betfair forum for Betfair punters.
If you don't bet horses you can't access the racing forum.
If you don't play poker you can't access the poker forum.
etc., etc., etc.,
By:

actually i'm not thick annie. and unlike yourself I've not resorted to insults and I can spell the word criticise.

why I am active on the poker forum lately is helping to promote and gather no's for the bfwcop live event, which i've
attended for the last 5 or so years. so anyone having a go about my relevance to the poker forum possibly needs to
get their facts sorted out eh?

ps bfwcop stands for betfair forum world championship of poker. if you want to attend you would be very welcome, its an
open invitation to all.

World championship of poker - aye that's a cracker - can't stop laughing at that.
Can just see you now - shades - hoodie - ear muffs - glad you don't take it too serious - World chanmpionship of poker - I can't believe you posted that. LOL.
