Hi

I find that since the update the fonts are too small.

I have adjusted my resolution and font DPI on my computer to make things bigger. However your application appears to ignore these preferences.

Is there anyway to make the fonts (eg, names, chips and cards) bigger?

I've had an IT expert look over my computer and we have made every windows setting as large as it will go. However these settings dont take effect in your program.

Please advise on how to resolve.

The t & c's of the Silver & Gold SnG leaderboards specifically refer to SnG tournaments, and not just STT's. Have you any plans to amend these t & c's, belatedly, to assuage players who haven't read them properly?

Thanks for raising this. You are correct, we have made an error in naming here which we will correct ASAP. As you know, multi table SnGs were not available on our previous software;
We did mean to state single table SnGs only. Our apology for this oversight, the terms will be corrected, but we can confirm the leaderboard will only take into account the performance on single table SnGs.

what have you done to your poker site?

I have been playing betfair poker 1 for well over a year. Generally happy with what you provided, with few glitches though could never get the Poker buddy to automatically load my hand histories.

Well thats in the past - your new ONGAME skin is absolute RUBBISH.

where do I start SB and BB identical, 5 max, Avatars, Chat from random tables, Repeated Disconnection.

I have read previous threads and still dont understand your  decision. Ladbrokes and WHill use far better skins.

You have now lost me as a Betfair poker player.

WTF is this preselect next action ...fold i understand ...call .. if you select call and someone raises all in before it comes to you .are you calling this bet ...??? if so that option has to go its wrong ..very wrong

If you select ‘call’ it will call the current bet. If somebody then raises the pot before your turn to act you will then have to choose again. You will not automatically call any raise by checking this.

Some good and valid questions there. We have answered in line below.

1) if you don't have control over things is there any point in asking for sensible things like auto reload, sensible sized tables and not having the software stupidly resource heavy

- There certainly is. We are proud of what we built with our old software, and a large part of the feature set was built on the back of player feedback we received. In future, while we are not building the features ourselves, we are working with our software suppliers as one of their principle customers to make sure that our players' wishes are we taken into account in their product's plans. Please continue to forward your feedback to us and we hope to see the most popular feature requests implemented in future releases.

2) if you're moving to party software, is there any point in asking for anything? (obviously you won't tell us, just like you didn't tell us about this most recent move)


- There is much speculation around this, but to be clear, our plans are to remain on our current software.

3) why should i play on betfair ahead of other sites that work like party poker and *'s etc

We've had this question before, and we think our previous answer still stands:

1.    Betfair Promotions + Bonuses – continuous high value promos for all levels of player, from freeroll series to cash leaderboards.

2.    Rakeback/Loyalty – if the player is already on RB then this is a unique chance for them to earn RB on Ongame. If there are not then our loyalty scheme gives back maximum value allowed by Ongame at every level so they will not be able to get better value anywhere else.

3.    Betfair Cashier – the ease and speed of depositing and withdrawing funds to and from Betfair is the industry's best.

4.    Betfair only tourneys and cash tables – we have implemented tourneys and cash tables that are only accessible through the Betfair Poker 2 client, for Betfair players.

5.    Discounted sports exchange commission through poker play.

1, After minimising a table, the chip graphic dissapears and a players bet-size is often obscured by the total pot size being super-imposed over the top of it, particularly the player at the top of the table. This must be costing you money as I can't be the only player not prepared to multi-table off of the back of this. Are there any plans to address this issue. (I would prefer the industry standard clear chip graphic, with a numerical value revealed if I hover the cursor over it.

You are not the first one to raise this with us and I can confirm that this will be fixed by the network.       


2, Can't find anything on the site re the upcoming GSOP (which looks good). Can we have a page devoted to it, hopefully with a sat schedule too.

Good news! We are very close to launch of a new section on the Poker site which will be covering all our Featured Tournaments, including GSOP, which will give you all the information you are looking for; including satellite schedule. Reason why this page is not live today is due to upcoming changes to the network tournament schedule.

i understand that but the players at the top in question haven't even played that many games.

1. There was far more lagging on Sunday afternoon/evening, is this due to traffic?
2. Allow chat at table from observers - this is important to many of us.
3. GSOP looks better than IPoker's ECOOP,agree with Daryl, get some details on this.
4. More sensible, non-turbo satellites to ChampionChip, the 50 seat turbo was a complete crapshoot.
5. When i resize tables the font is fine but the chips look like specs, dont resize them.

Overall I'm very happy with the move.

1) Cannot be 100% sure - sorry
2) We have had similar feedback from other players and agree it is a function that players should have. We are working to try and introduce this.
3) We are working on info for this and will get this up asap
4) There are plenty of non turbo satellites, however, we need to put more informaiton on the site so that players can find it more easily

I did not really expect an answer, pokerpr, it was just that I can type and most posters on here cannot, so I thought it would be a good idea to have the niggles in print so maybe someone in authority can see how they have missed a golden opportunity to really 'upgrade'.  I was asked by your customer service dept to email them with the list as they wanted the feedback, but I thought it was better being seen on here.

We will answer all the questions below.....even annie's

1.    No Waiting Lists – while we appreciate they are useful, waiting lists can also stop new games getting started. The software used to have waiting list and when they removed them many complained. However, once players got used to the new game selection they found they were getting better tables when they did get a seat.

2.    No buddy list – we agree that there should be a tool for players to find their friends at tables and are looking at solutions to allow this to happen. 

3.    No choice of turbo cash games – we do have the ability to create Betfair only turbo cash tables and if we do get demand to introduce them then we’ll be happy to set some up.

4.    No nationality – yes, we have had players complain about this. Again it’s due to be added as a feature in the poker room in the mid term.

5.    No tourney position – we see your point here. It’s a feature that we’d like to add.

5a. No extra filters – afraid we’re not sure what you mean here. There are more filters options within the new lobby than we previously had. Is there a particular which is no longer there and you miss?


6.  FOLDED CARDS NOT ON GAME BOARD.  The folded cards are there but you have to go to game info for it, Betfair1 had it right in front of you.

- As mentioned before - this kind of feedback is great for us. We'll take this feedback, estimate how popular they are amongst our players, and request them from our software partners.

7.  NO OBSERVER CHAT.  Even if you do not chat much it was nice when people commented 'good game' when you left, now you cannot reply to them.
- We are eager to keep the good-natured Betfair community feel on Betfair Poker 2. This will be one area we look at to maintain this amongst others.

8.  NO CHOICE OF AVATARS.  I do not like avatars and have them switched off.  However, if someone is playing me with his avatars on I can be represented by someone completely different to me, usually a man.  In William Hill, you can choose who you want to be represented by, so if someone is playing me they see a woman I have chosen.

- See your point. Fortunately everyone playing in this room sees the exact same avatar at all tables at the same position, so this is not as important in this room.

9.  NO 2000 SNGS OR TOURNIES.  I used to play almost exclusively 2000 sngs - now I have none.  Why are they almost all 1500 starting stacks?
- We can certainly look into this as well. If enough demand, we can develop this format more.

10. SATELLITE, BUT NO CLUE TO TOURNEY.  Not sure about this one but someone mentioned it.

- We will work on developing the satellite content on our website. However, if you have some suggestions on improving the content in our lobby information, please send them in to us.

Meanwhile, please check the 'qualifier' selection in both of the tournament lobbies (SnG and Scheduled).

11. NO WARNING YOU ARE ABOUT TO CLOSE.  I have sometimes clicked on the exit by mistake and usually on betfair 1 you would get a warning, now you exit straight away and have to re enter.
This is an interesting point and something we will bring up with Ongame to see if it is on their roadmap.

12. WHY 5 SEATER, BUT 10 CHAIRS
Maybe they had spare chairs and nowhere to stack them?

13. HARDLY ANY POT LIMIT.  In betfair 1 you did have some but now I do not see any - I was looking forward to playing more pot limit.
There is plenty of action on the Omaha tables but you are right there are no players at the  PL holdem tables at the moment.

14. HAND HISTORIES ARE AWFUL.  In betfair 1 there were several features which are not in the 'upgrade'.
We apologise that you may be missing some of the features that were available but without any specifics from you I cannot tell you if they are on the Ongame roadmap or a bug that you may be experiencing.

15. ONLY 5 TABLES OR 10 TABLES.  Again I have had to go to Willhill to get a six max table.

We have set up special 6 seater tables specifically for Betfair players – and if those prove popular we will add more over time.

16. NO DEEPSTACK TOURNIES

We can certainly look into some deepstack tournaments.

17. TAKING NOTES IS TERRIBLE.  The screen freezes, I think when it is your turn, so trying to make notes in short handed games is impossible - again in will hill there is not a problem.

Is it a reoccurring issue? If so, could you please specifically raise it in writing to pokerinfo@betfair.com.

18. 'YOU ARE OUT OF THIS TOURNEMENT - LEAVE' This is an awful message.  Surely it should say something like sorry you have failed this time, but better luck next time ?
We’ll look into this, you’re right, it is not the greatest message.

19.  NO TIMEOUT
We’re not sure what you mean exactly here? in terms of time to act, you have a longer clock then most other sites. There is however no time bank as such.

20.  CANNOT SUPPORT MULTI TABLING?  I tried to do three tables and the cards would not display, then at the last minute they did but too late and i was folded with ak suited - urrgh!

21.  CANNOT CHANGE COLOUR OF TABLE.  Cards look better on certain colour tables, but now it is like it or lump it.
I guess this is quite a personal taste – we have developed our colour scheme to achieve two things: best possible legibility and visibility of cards, and respect the colours of the Betfair brand.

22.  CANNOT PLAY IN POUNDS OR EUROS.  I know you could not on betfair 1, but I had hoped you could on the 'upgrade'.  I enjoy playing in pounds on willhill as it seems more real, especially when you win!

We’re obviously an international room, with the majority of our players actually coming from countries with euro currency. But the universal currency of poker is still mostly dollars, and this seems to make sense to the vast majority of our players. Sorry.

i think the upgrade is excellent.however i have 2 questions.

i have won a $30 championchip step 3 ticket. the green ticket logo only appears next to an 18 person sit and go.i have been checking every day at different times and the most entries it has ever had is 2.it simply does not get close to filling up ever.what am i supposed to use this ticket for? there are plenty of $25 dollar step 3 games i could play if it let me enter and credited me with the difference.

my second question is "why can you not sychronize breaks in your tourneys?"

two other minor points of issue are no find player and no country of origin.these have prob been mentioned but have not read thread yet.(typing this in one of your non synchronised breaks)

otherwise excellent.played here for years.dont really get why everyone is moaning.

Thank you, akabula, I am pleased my effort has not gone unnoticed  .  As I said before, I know most posters cannot type and to 'hunt and peck' a long list puts most posters off - so betfair never gets the full list of grumbles.
