terrible value
patriots packers ravens great value seahawks chiefs even if neither are fancied one bit nor should seahawks should be good value falcons steelers rest fairly fair imo |
By:
Worried about the pats price now.
Could be evens before they play again and I'm already balls deep red! |
By:
d13, like I said there will be 2 or 3 shock results in these play offs, and having been the most unpredictable season I can remember there's no reason why someone won't go to Foxboro and win (as Ravens last year)
By:
4 teams make sense to hold big red on. Packers, Eagles, Colts and Ravens at this point in time. All could be gone in a heartbeat.
By:
Packers are playing Eagles so one of them will be shorter by the end of this weekend (and one will be gone obviously) and will be travelling to either Falcons or Bears with momentum behind them.

Can't have Atlanta at all. The way the choked away that Saints game by being so conservative is not a good sign for the playoffs. Think they have all the hallmarks of a one and done team, even with Matt Ryan's great record at home.
By:
choked away?? they played a better team on the night but it was a very close game.
By:
being so conservative yes indeed but why show Saints some big plays in a match you don't need to win...played incredible good on D and O has more to give...choked away lol
By:
they should have won and maybe killed off a dangerous playoff team's chances
they didn't is that not a choke? |
By:
They might have 'choked' that one I didn't watch, the stats said it should have been an easy Saints vicotry anyway, but how many have they 'clutched' this season? Five, six?
By:
Exactly inner...i havent backed atlanta but feel like people are just writing them off with no valid reason as they have been clutch as you said v the ravens and packers at home
By:
Not really sure Atlanta can go all the way myself, I think its set up for Vick to spoil their party but aside from that , there is no way they choked the game against the saints, the better team won
By:
All of the sides in the NFC are flawed in some way- Packers: no run game, Chicago: moderate QB, Falcons: functional rather than explosive side, Eagles: hot and cold, Saints: hot and cold with QB turning over a lot, Seahawks- at 7-9 plain old substandard!
About six weeks ago I said Pats v Saints bowl, still think that will be the case but I wouldn't back the Pats at the price available. Been best season to watch in years though. |
By:
I have laid out of my saints bet today at 12/1. They can't win a SB without Thomas and ivory. They need them two for protection more than anything. Bush hasnt been getting it done at all since hid injury. Tempted to take the bears at this price instead of the saints.
By:
Probably a smart move, I agree if you have no running game you can't win play off football (unless you're Kurt Warner), I might have waited until after wildcards though, they'll smash the Seahawks and can only assum their price will shorten slightly
By:
Thought that horse but didn't want to risk them losing at Seattle and i think a win Is already factored in.
By:
Depends how big you're in, they'll shorten up to around 10 I guess
By:
Seattle at 6 to win that game, they were 3.25 against the Falcons a few weeks back.
By:
tinydave - how can you say seattle and the chiefs are value? A big price doesnt = value.
I wouldnt touch seattle @ 1000/1. Agree that pats are a little too short. I got them @ 5/1 after their smashing of the jets, and i dont think too much has changed since then (besides wrapping up 1 seed obv). I know some of you like your football outsiders stats...here are there odds for the superbowl New England 3.42 Pittsburgh 3.87 Atlanta 7.3 Chicago 10.6 Baltimore 14.5 Philly 22 Green Bay 29 New Orleans 34 Jets 40 Indy 76 Kansas 250 So they have no respect for indy (id like 70's though!) and new orleans. But have pittsburgh much shorter than the market. Interesting....the paranoid side of me thinks the nfl doesnt want big ben in the superbowl this year...ditto with vick. Will be keeping an eye on the zebras in the post season, thats for sure. Ace |
By:
Doesn't want Ben or Vick in, give me a break
![]() |
By:
Commish Goodell is paranoid about the image of the league. No way he want either of those two as the super bowl poster child. Not saying he'll give words to the zebra's, but i imagine he'll drop a hint or two.
By:
Football Outsiders really don't like Seattle - they don't even price them up!
By:
Pittsburgh steelers superbowl winners
Its just hit me ![]() |
By:
nice 2 c u coming round harry [:)]
By:
current odds
pats 2.94 falcons 7.6 steelers 7.8 saints 12.5 eagles 14 bears 15 packers 18 ravens 19 colts 24 jets 34 cheifs 75 seahawks 220 |
By:
I should of realised this sooner ![]() |
By:
do u think the prophet is on 2 something reguarding goodell vick & big ben ?
By:
The prophet (ace) on this occasion is being paranoid...he has one of the best jobs in the world outside being an athlete,,why would he put himself in a position just to stop vick or ben making the superbowl...total nonsense.
By:
Vick in superbowl=$$$=Goodell happy man
By:
hope your right harry im know fan of goodell as people on here know steelers/ eagles superbowl just 2 keep me harry & the commish happy [;)]
By:
Im not confident in the eagles...they are hot and cold but so is everyone else apart from the patriots...im picking the steelers..will back them before the weekend.
By:
after last weeks victory to saints over Atlanta, the best value in my eyes is the saints...
But you never know in the playoff... cant wait to saturday ![]() |
By:
yeah should be a great weekend wildcard games 1 of the highlights of the season, stress free 4 me so am going 2 enjoy them with a small investment in wins 4 the colts, chiefs, saints, eagles GL all.
By:
I love wildcard weekend, proper play off football and every chance of some kip on Monday night !
I'll be with Saints, Packers and Ravens, and I'm toying with the idea of getting with Jets who are a team I dislike but their wildcat/trickery could easily fool one of the worse run defences around, and if Revis and Cromartie step up Manning will run out of ideas and I can see him having a 2 or more turnover day, 2.26 to win outright is a price I like |
By:
Help - Thomas and Ivory done for the season, Saints have officially no running game hence the lack of love for their superbowl chances
By:
jets packers ravens saints for me.
i think steelers are the better value.....if the bears keep up their good form the saints could have 3 road games then the superbowl, dont think they are much value now,i have 18s |
By:
im just going against the eagles and if they prove me wrong im happy [;)]
By:
horse i havent read much news this week..is pierre done?
By:
Yes mate, place on IR yesterday.
Only 2 RB on their roster, Julius Jones who's had 48 carries all season (9 for 19 yards last 3 weeks) and Reggie Bush who had good numbers against the Buccs last week but against the Ravens 2 weeks earlier actually managed 4 carries for negative yardage |
By:
That makes things interesting..pierre killed the game off v atlanta when they needed him to get key 1st downs...massive blow...if they win do they go to atlanta?if so advantage atlanta imo
