I wasn't long up when I read your first post today - surely you can't be too pissed of at not laying Montreal?  It takes a leap of faith to back the Isles normally, but factor in the goalie making his 2nd start and the awful start he made in his first match, I could not have been with the Isles last night with the mother in law's money!  Of course this is notwithstanding the tough match for Montreal the previous night.  I watched highlights again this morning - the commentary was superb 'the popcorn machine keeps churning out goals' a good line.  Dunno who the bloke is but sounds strangely like the hockey shirt wearing friend of Ferris Beuller Laugh

Maybe not drew but it does sometimes depend on what your main criteria is for selection , some of these divisional games are now just any other game tbh with a rarity that not one but BOTH teams need at least a point , not so with the Bruins/Habs game which was a crucial one with the standings as they are and it showed , i'd only just made Sharks one of my bets of the season in Boston by using that Bruins grueller against Stars as part of the criteria and that was 48 hours later but for Habs to get up for the importance of that Bruins game and then play a team they should beat 9/10 times the following night was a big task for me and made the match-up much more about Habs than the quality of the opposition and especially at the price on offer.

Looking to oppose Av's again tonight for the 4th time in succession and hopefully will get a streak of 5 before they return to homeland in 2 games time , was a bit slow getting involved here tbh as they'd lost 4/5 before the Ducks game but these streak methods are excellent providing you identify the correct team , jump on at the right time , place the right type of bet i.e m/l win / reg lay or whatever , get the staking right and most importantly know when to jump ship.

Great schedule tonight though and be surprised if I don't find another bet before midnight , speak later  Happy

Friday is always a busy night at work so I'm going to have to put them up early and trust the coaches to put the teams out in the right frame of mind.....

Anaheim are must-bet material for me tonight, surely on a massive high after winning at such a tough place as Vancouver the other night.  They will feel 8 feet tall tonight and I'm confident will have too much for Calgary, who may now be realising the enormity of what they have achieved in getting this close to a playoff spot having looked buried before Christmas.  This is as confident a bet as I've had on the hockey this year.

Having had trouble staying awake through the first period last night of the game in Toronto, and with NJ set to employ this system of only 2 true forwards per line, cannot see many goals tonight when San Jose call.  The under 5.5 price is tight at 4/6, may take a chance on under 5 at a snot under evens.

I completely agree with Colorado being opposed but Columbus have been the wrecking ball of my bets all season so not sure whether or not to play.  Elsewhere I would settle for a carve-up of the 2 St Louis/Minnesota games this weekend (could they both go beyond 60? Devil) and Rangers at Atlanta another possible play, both teams struggling but Atlanta playing poor stuff with it.

Yes Thrashers are another I was too pedantic about hitting them on a streak , did consider them one night to start a 5 streak but didn't get inolved and they've now lost 7 from the last 8 , that said you need to be psychic to hit the exact button and patience is a virtue  Happy

You may or may not have seen a thread I put on kirty's thread on horse racing forum HAYDEN, regarding tonight's game between Estu and Newells in Argie footy.  I know you don't often play football bets but the stats for unders and Estu not to concede are pretty compelling.  Going to be an awkward few weeks sharing time between Buenes Aires and N America for me.....

No never open those long threads on other forums mainly because I don't know who's who these days , will have a look but you're right about me and soccer and I wouldn't know who was top of La Liga or Premiership tbh , that makes it impossible for me to ever bet on soccer as a losing bet would mean beating myself up for getting involved in something I both dislike and know nothing about  Laugh

Best of luck though mate  Happy

Evening Hayden and Drewboy.  Looks a good night in store.  So tough to find a bet tonight.  I am currently thinking of one or more of

Rangers ML
Penguins v Islanders Under 5.5
Wings ML

Lets hope we can get some returns.

Good luck, whatever you go for Swardean, especially if its The Rangers Devil

My fat fingers have left me with a bet I didn't want tonight, what price I get lucky?  Letting it ride....

Decided to do all those bets in doubles and trebles.  Bit of fun tonight as nothing leaping out.  The Calgary/Ducks one is an intersting one.  Will Flames want to win this as an easier option to tomorrows grdge match?  Not sure... certainly the fans would rather win tomorrow

Mine are Under 5 in NJ, Anaheim in 60 (big bet for me) and Rangers ML.

I've got an unwanted double amongst that lot, will let you know how it goes if 2 of them win!!

Last minute goal in Argentina has just nailed a real good bet Cry

Agree tomorrow's game is important for the fans swardean but as for importance you could argue tonight has the edge , the Canucks game is divisional but winning the diision is now irtually impossible for Flames but Ducks & Flames are 7th/8th in the conference standings.

My thinking exactly Hayden, I expect it to be close affair.

Was watching the Argie stuff but switched offwith 5 mins to go as it looked to be fizzling out.  UL drewboy

Not as disciplined as you Hayden and mostly concentrate on.

* Horse Racing (jumps only)
* NFL
* NHL
* Golf (USPGA)

Will bet on other sports but only 10/20 interest bets when on TV and nothing better to do.

Big Seahawks and Canucks fan as used to work in BC for 4 years.  Football has little interest for me either.

Have tried to get into Baseball and basketball with mixed results, MBA ok (sometimes).  NBA p1ss poor no interst at all.

Good example tonight I think regarding importance of matches early  late season , early season a banged up Pens would have targetted tonight's divisional game in preference to a non-conference game last night but as discussed earlier with the majority of divisional games now not a priority for BOTH teams as when it's a possible 4 pointer , safe to say in an early season game Pens wouldn't be 4 goals down at the Islanders Grin

Hows it going in Columbus?  Avs twice as many shots but that cab be hugely deceptive.  Blue Jackeys to bounce back this period?

LOL HAYDEN - you start to think though, 1-1, then 2-1 with 4 minutes left and Devils with a 4 minute man advantage score 1, then Sharks pull goalie and before you know it its 4-1 Laugh

Its a funny old game, but not tonight thank fook Laugh

It makes the difference between a shocker and a small profit mate.  The Argie footie is my bread and butter and the late goal in that game cost me a fair bit.  This bet is bigger still.  I'm no Rockerfeller though, and never play out of my league so its nothing I'll worry about, maybe just Cry a bit on here Laugh

3-2, will tune into the last 10 minutes unless Calgary go nuts.

Wild win SO.  Great for the long-shot bet which looks better all the time.  Not so great when you've suggested a game will go the distance and don't put your money where your mouth is.

Maybe overtime when they square off again tomorrow

Great night entertainment even if not profitable (for me anyway!)

65 Penalties in New Yotk and over 350 pen mintues, 15 fights.  Musten have been anyone on pitch

ft 1-4 , the Caps unders oblige once again and plenty of 1.8 available if you shopped around , this was a game with 2 betting opportunities based on recent postings , laying Washington due to the lunchtime puck drop was one and the obvious backing of Caps unders the other but not wanting to play 2 in one game I missed out on backing Kings and just went for the proven unders strategy again.

Only bet later is the last leg of the 5 streak opposing Av's so will stick to that and then jump off the streak win or lose tonight.

Speak later  Happy
