Had a conversation on the thread last night with ND about Caps and tbh it's borne out tonight watching this game , Caps 10 unders in the last 12 games but Bruce knows exactly what he's trying to achieve differently tbh , he had to change the strategy from last year or he would have been toast at the end of this season.

Speaking of Sharks a bit again, Hayden..pls forgive me the tecnical probs I could not reply until now..

Niemi also must be a bit of relief after Sharks coach has trust him more lately and he has started to win games. Another relaxing thing for him is knowledging Niittymaki will not breath over his shoulder for a while because of groin injury of his. Niittymaki's replacer from minor league is just a backup goalie not a thread for Niemi at all.

As like any other team in NHL, Sharks need 2 lines who can score regularly and after JP and rookie Couture (was few games injured recently as well) back in lineup they have potential strong two lines to succee. Also acquiring former-Hawk Eager from Trashers recently they got more depth to their roster.

Btw, Ducks leading 3-1.. Happy

Pens is a heck of the pk team tbh. It's not just lucky how they are blocking the players and make immediately counter attacks as there's always one player ready to finish his shift for at least one scoring chance. Canes has not played lousy but Pens have played almost perfect game. Cole must have been frustrated as hit the crossbar and took stupid penalty last period then. Small margins but all counts.

They almost equalized but only almost. Nice to see Staal v Staal doing faceoffs and playing against. Can't wait to see all three of them in All Stars game. Laugh

Koivu has always been one of Canadiens and always will be no matter where he plays. Fans there love him and know who's to blame he's not playing there anymore. All the things he has been through outside the rink has made him even more one of the guys. A person, a leader, a real gentleman, an honest embassador from Finland what more can I say from him from the bottom of my heart. Love

A mission "Destroying the Flames" starts as Edler scores 1-0 for Canucks. [;)]

A mission "Destroying the Flames" starts with Edler's early goal. Canucks leading by 1-0. Not the easiest night for Kipper who has been under a big pressure last week in media.

On the other hand, it would have been more interesting to see how Canucks played against Flames tonight IF Stars would not have lost for them last night. I'm sure they want give an inch for free tonight.

Yes, he's a real fighter and would not have deserved all the harm things in life but fortunately he has made all those things behind. What's happening in Van..? Flames now leading 2-1.
By:
Nursultan Dorkamoglu
When: 23 Jan 11 03:35
Amazing to see how Flames took a momentum just like that. Very seldom we can see Canucks can't even find out for their own zone and had to take penalty. Now Canucks must kill that pp and take momentum back before its too late. And this is still 1st period. Laugh

Canucks seem to be going through a lack lustre few matches at the moment , won't last for too many more games though as they're too good.
By:
Nursultan Dorkamoglu
When: 23 Jan 11 03:42
Now they have that momentum only need a goal now to reduce the game before the 1st break thank you.
By:
Nursultan Dorkamoglu
When: 23 Jan 11 03:53
Yes, they are playing good time to time now as well but uneffectively. Tbh, they could have scored 4 goals in the 1st period instead of one but I just have to hope Vigneault gives them a boost to be much more effective next two periods. Otherwise I must seriously think retiring and starting early vacation already three days before the all stars break. Cry

I just love to see them (rookies) starting to take big role this season. Sharks' Couture has been great this season. Just like Canes' Skinner. And they are not the only ones, fortunately. Happy

Canucks have started to roll a bit but if Flames play aggressively but avoiding penalties this game keeps even. Kipper has been great and without the usual Kipper this game would probably be all over already. A little worry is Canucks' defensemen situation as Bieksa got injured in the 1st period. They are now playing there with 4 veterans in defense plus Tanev. Both Canucks goals have scored defenseman Edler.

Well, well M.Koivu scored his 2nd one and again pp goal. After Setoguchi's second one.

And now Sedin got frustrated and took a penalty. Well, as I said it's time for me to take a break but hoping to hear you, Hayden and the rest of the guys here sometimes (let's hope real soon). It has been a priviledge to get to know you guys here. Keep up the good work! [;)]
