I'm starting to sound a broken record but ty, Hayden [;)]

It's pretty amazing Selanne scores lots of his PP goals by onetimer. It's look like so easy but everyone who tries it with no succee knows it's not.

Speaking of pp's Leafs made 5 pp goals in 7 opportunities which was one amazing thing as well including that horrible final score (9-3) of course. [:o]

The movement of Ducks' players is so much different than Jackets'. The rage is on and they need the another goal soon before their miss the momentum.

Not perfect but ok 1st period for Ducks. Now we know their pp unit works ok even without Getzlaf. As very relaxed Selanne said during interview with Koivu they can create opportunities on PP both sides of the rink. When you have such an excellent passer in the pp unit you just only have to find yourself open and you can be sure you'll get that pass. Only worry is put the puck in the net and we know Selanne can do that.

1st goal for Ducks and as it was pp goal give them a confidence boost they needed. Now they just have to keep the legs on going and keep that movement alive plus stay out of the penalty box (hoping especially Ryan & Perry keep their hits as clean as possible). Jackets is a solid counter attack team and they are searching for opportunities to create one open pass from own defensive zone straight to a forward who's waiting that pass in neutral zone near the blueline to have it with full speed. Lydman get once again lots of icetime and will be always on ice as Nash is there as well.

I'm confident but more relaxed soon after Ducks will make their 2nd goal before Jackets get their 1st one. If I heard it right Ducks are almost stoppable if they score at least 3 goals at home (stats were 15-2-2 or something).

The next a couple of questions are will he score a hat-trick and/or will Hiller have a shutout tonight? Happy
By:

When: 08 Jan 11 04:26
True, Hayden. One scenario is they will try to get that hattrick for Selanne and lose concentration. Ducks play passively now..but they score anyway 3-0 (Beleskey).

3rd pp opportunity, 3rd pp goal, Ryan's 2nd goal of the night as well. Selanne did not played that pp after a long shift of his before they got that pp opportunity. Ducks leading 5-0.

Well done last night guys with plenty of winners posted , think Wings got their rewards for 100% effort last night tbh and they obviously took the view that a lack of intensity in Calgary together with the form Canucks are in at the moment and it could have been a disaster weekend , now they have 2 pts in the bag despite the weary legs tonight so even 1pt would make it a decent 48 hours , if they can compete with Canucks for 50 mins tonight and they are level going into the last 10 mins then look out for both teams looking not to lose in regulation to their main conference rivals and then take their chance after the point is secured , fascinating game in prospect so let's wait and see.

Good luck  Happy

I'm not going to be able to watch tonight lads.  Trying to find an interest in Aves/Isles but every bet I can think of is priced up exactly right.  Any angle that I may have missed?

So, it's still few hours waiting before the most interesting meeting for tonight starts. Can Wings beat up Canucks again as they did a day before Xmas eve after OT at JLA. Tbh, I doubt that with Osgood between the pipes. Canucks were better the last time as well I think but Wings came from behind & stealt the extra point then. B2B for both, both also won yesterday but Canucks solved the puzzle comfortably. All the credit for Wings but they also had some luck as Rafalski scored an equalizer far from a neutral zone behind unsolid Kipper before took the extra point by SO.

Anyway, Canucks is the hottest team in the league at the moment with 8 consecutive wins. The market has already started to react by dropping down the odds of Canucks.

I think the main reason was the info Osgood would be a starting goalie in Wings tonight. But that's untrue because he has a groin injury so Howard is a starter. However, Wings have some longterm injuries we all know already with a couple of new ones including Stuart(d)who broke his jaw last night which makes Babcock change once again the roster. Wings already had to make some line changes yesterday as Filppula was out(groin injury) & missing probably this meeting as well. Absence of Filppula mean Wings only have one serious competitive line against Canucks tonight which is not enough I think.

What do you think, Hayden am I overreact as I find Canucks too attractive to take this meeting? Happy

I had those 4sec on my side this time. I had O6.5 including OT/SO so I was extremely lucky this time.

CBJ might be a perfect lay if there's any competitive odds available anywhere. They were totally outplayed yesterday by Ducks & now there's better plus even hungrier team waiting.

Great pp late 1st for TBL as they were playing their pp with 5 forwards. I have not seen even Pens to try it before but no goal this time. Sens have no sense in their play to me so far. I guess it's something to do with the late arrival home last night (3am). Another reason has to be rumours this might be the last game with regular coach of theirs and their GM Murray is planning to take back his former job as trying to save the season of Sens. Just the rumour though. Sure thing is TBL want to bounce back after their horrible loss(1-8) to Pens last time.

Btw, Pens seem to be in trouble again without Sid. They are trailing by 0-2 after 1st vs Wild. As said before already, Theodore looks like a solid backup goalie for injured Backstrom. Continuing this level they will change positions real soon I think.

It should be tasty in Vancouver ND , think the key will be how Wings start the game after their grueller last night but one thing's fairly certain in that both teams will have the utmost respect for each other , they are strategically equipped to close the opposition down and they will both have a desire NOT to lose in regulation and give any points away , let's see how it starts but if Wings have recovered their legs i'm sure the tie won't be that far away.

Good luck mate  Happy

You must be right, Hayden. And if they a look at some stats Canucks have not won both home meetings in the last 5 seasons. They have already taken one home meeting this season (6-4).

These meetings has also been fun to watch. The momentum usually changes very often there and both teams leading & trailing side by side. No miracle at all if one team are leading once again after 1st, then underdog team comes from behind and taking a lead giving the winning keys back in 3rd..

Sens are making sense at the moment. They were a way better in 2nd but leading only by 1-0. Roloson was the man to blame of it.

I must admit without Roloson TBL would have messed this game up in 2nd. I wonder why he's been ruled out as a yesterday's news even by this forum. Reaching 40-years milestone does not mean automatically you must retire. Btw, he's one of the 3 goalies of all time who has earned a shutout at least in 6 different teams. [;)]
