Will do m8. Great to see moscow and kicking king so well in themselfs ..Kicking king even nutted me while i was haveing my photo takin with him... a few heads on betfair lost a lot of money on him when he won the gold cup a few years back ..if memory serves he was declared a non runner for the same race by tom taaffe because of injury and a few heads laid him at 999/1. P.S A very nice staff there as well..one of them told me Beef or salmon will be on the late late show tonight.

i dont have a bet for saturday, so the account reads -1216 rolling on to monday.
just for the weekend i might just mention in passing, that i think the market is wrong regarding the leinster hurling club quarter final between rathdowney and clonkill. currently 7/4 rathdowney, 4/7 clonkill. rathdowney have won 3 of the last 5 laois championships, in their 2 previous forays into leinster they had to play the kilkenny champs in round one(ballyhale and o loughlins) and exited. clonkill are streets below the level of the cats clubs. rathdowney have home advantage in portlaoise. in the last 5 years they have played 22 games at the stadium and won 19, drawn 1, lost 2. it is a home from home for them. laois county hurling may be on the floor, the clubs remain competitive, rathdowney would easily qualify for a kilkenny or tipp quarter final. they have 12 starters all with senior inter county experience and another 5 on the bench with same. they are very experienced, strong and fit, albeit helped by the fact that none of them turned up for the county this year. no westmeath team have ever beaten a laois team on laois soil in this competition. clonkill did beat ballacolla 4 years ago in mullingar, but ballacolla had won their first title in 30 odd years the previous sunday and celebrations came first for them and leinster second, consequently clonkill were lucky to meet them at the right time. having watched offaly and laois finals, i have no doubt that rathdowney are the strongest side on the weak side of the draw, and if they win on sunday they can beat kk in the semi final. my prices would be rathdowney 4/9. based on ppower prices, i have punted rathdowney, straight at 7/4, +2 at 11/10, to win 4-6pt at 8/1, to win 7-9pts at 14/1. with my biggest bet rathdowney half time full time at a whopping 11/2.....whopping because they are a great front running team. have a good weekend. |

Fair dues to keen leader for putting up the tip and, more importantly, for spending time giving his reasons for it. Also, his record on this thread up to now is excellent. However, I simply can't see how he can make it a 4/9 chance when our leading bookmaker makes it a 7/4 chance. That's a massive discrepancy in betting terms. Whatever you might think of Odds Compilers, they are not employed because they are fools.

Come on Rathdowney

I'm on Rathdowney. Similarly if they are an Evens shot, 7/4 is value.
Could be a nerve racking sunday afternoon if it's a close one. |
