If you don’t appreciate what I share for all then there’s no need to be as you are. As for the squabbling if more of you didn’t just sit by and told others with no interest in the race being discussed then maybe they’d get the hint?

I was at Riem racecourse (München) when Gostam won last month, i went specifically to back it based on his previous win at Cologne (impressive).
It won well enough, maybe a little more cosily than it looked, but he was 7/10f and it wasn't a particulary strong field, even by Germany standards. A group 2 and 3 (twice) winner. RPR was 108. Right handed track shouldn't be an issue (Cologne is). Connections said post-race they were going to be more 'adventerous`with him and we have seen German runners do well at Longchamp before. I can't see him winning, but it wouldn't be a complete shock. Constitution River is one i really like, but 15 is not a good draw at all. Having said that, French races are rarely a strong pace and Ryan may be able to get a prominent position before the sweeping bend. A flat track, more of a galloping type. He can still win, but i would have preferred him in the lower half of the draw. |

nice big field and the draw hasnt been kind to cons river and he is making the market , it looks a good betting race, hopefully no late defectors.

Andrew as someone who knows French racing you’ll know that they tend to go that bit faster in the Jockey Club to grab a position early. All the talk about whether River would stay the Derby trip, I’d say he’ll have to from that draw. You have Hank drawn low and he’ll no doubt go forward as in the Guineas, then there’s Pearled Majesty who has a massive stride, the trainer has said that he’ll not mind going forwards to use it, so potentially the pace will be good. Last year Azimpour made up lots of ground along the rail, when drawn 16, that’s one option for Moore or he has to slot in. You’re right Foyles he does do that. Are you thinking that they might scratch him? Impossible mentioned that yesterday should he be drawn badly. Could that be why AOB has entered all three to play the draw? Both Ricer and Mountain are joint top rated by the French handicapper so it seemed very odd to enter both. |

A very bad draw for Con River. I think if breaking off poorly Con River could be saved for Epsom eg cantering at the back, and making no effort to be competitive. The uncertainty continues (sadly).

Komorebi for me. Won over a mile as a 2 year old, second in the french guineas finishing well, hopefully step up in trip is going to suit.
Draw is fine, trained by the master, Buick on board, lots to like about this one. |

André Fabre is very positive about Komorebi ahead of the "Jockey Club" André Fabre gave news of Komorebi (3 years old) which will be reviewed on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at the highest level. “The colt had a good race in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains (2nd), he will now move on to the Prix du Jockey Club,” declared the French trainer. He showed that he could go longer than 1,600 meters and that he would also probably prefer good ground. The distance extension (2,100 m) should suit him well. Even if he is by Pinatubo (editor’s note, a stallion who was a flyer and who rather produces horses with a lot of speed), his way of running encourages in this sense.” |

I’d said that it was odd that AOB is running Hawk against River as both are top rated by the French handicapper.
Hawk wore first time cheek pieces last time in his trial and is blinkered first time here. Note the RP your useless card only denotes B there IS NO one by it!  Lord Clover did little for the form of that race in the German guineas on Monday but he’d missed the break. Burkes Horse Shaanyan franked River’s Chester form by placing but it was a big drop back in trip. |

Andrew Lommi who Gostam beat last time
Was placed in a Maiden at Deauville behind Northern Champion, 1 L + behind him that day was JABRACADABRA Who was G3 placed behind Varindir last weekend. Title Role was behind Northern Champ in Dubai so gives the German 2000 Guineas form some credibility. Gostam might not win but the step up in trip could see him improve his current rating which he never bettered on his comeback run but that’s understandable as they walked early. I don't feel that runners tend to go faster early in the Prix Jockey Club any more than other 10.5f races on thee course, there will be the odd exception of course, but the French way is generally slow pace and sprint finish. It's essentially a flat course, a small rise in the home straight, but certainly not with the ups and downs of Epsom. There's a long straight after the start to get a decent position and the run-in is 600 metres, so ideal for a finisher. I'm not concerned with the trip, or going that is currently 3.3 (G/S) but we all know that France Galop descriptions are chalk and cheese compared to ours. The draw is a worry for backers, but it will depend on what tactics AOB/Ryan have discussed. Will they do a 'Golden Horn' who won the Arc (Longchamp) out of 14, or will they do a 'Ace Impact' who was drawn 8 in this race and stayed in one but last position until flying down the home straight on the outside. A low stall is obviously favoured, but being close to the rail is also a benefit, although it would depend on the horse per se. Constitution River has always raced up with the pace and with exception of his debut at Newmarket (12) in small fields. An intriguing race, one i'm looking forward to and if i wasn't home in Sweden this weekend would have gone. |

yes andrew fav could be good enough to overcome the draw but its deffo a negative ,luck in running or lack of it as we know often plays a part in biggish fields over there .

Back in 2016 Zarak came from 16 of 16 runners. (There was a non runner) You can see that draws 13, 11, 17 produced the next places. Foundation was 4/1 fav for Gosden came last. The key to this was the going Soft to Heavy On soft as in the Arc those drawn wide can make up the ground because they go slower on fast that’s much more difficult to do at Longchamp and Chantilly in big fields because they go that much faster early. |

Happy to leave the favourite from that gate. If he wins I will applaud him in. I thought Komorebi ran well in the Poulains from a difficult position. He will do for me. |

Agree looks a nice race, Ballydoyle didn't employ the 'didn't eat up' for the fav overnight. Wouldn't have blamed them for it this time - coffin box draw

Famous Name just beat (HD) from 17. Wonder if Moore will try to get away from the stalls sharpish to him over more to the inside early. Should be a good race. |

There’s a common theme when horses have won from wide. That is that they’ve been milers/10f types stepping up in trip beating stayers.
3/1 New Bay drawn (13) on good beat 10/1 Highland Reel (9) No race comments available. 4/1 Shamardal (13) on good beat 6/5f Hurricane Run (5) 1st “Made all, ridden and quickened clear 1 1/2f out, held on well” 2nd “Held up in touch, disputing 7th on outside straight, pushed along over 2f out, ridden and ran on 1 1/2f out, finished strongly final 150yds” - - - - - - (20) Lope DeVega 20/1 on soft beat 9/2 Planteur (10) 1st “Broke well, tracked leader until went on going well 3f out, soon clear, comfortably” 2nd “Disputed 3rd, went 2nd 3f out, soon ridden and unable to go with leader, stayed on but no impression final 300yds” Planteur had a pace maker who Lope followed, that fell away. So looking back Moore will have likley to be handy and use up gas to sit in behind a stable mate near the front and not be held up and ride for luck. |

Yes I had a bet and I’m not trusting AOB as he has Soumi booked on a horse prepped at the course who’s rated the same as the fav who is much shorter than the examples shown who’ve won from wide.

Campacite is exposed but comes from Mr Jockey club.
He won the same race as Vedini at Deauville and like him he took in the French Guineas and Prix Quiche. As a 2 year old he was 1L behind Rayif in the Lagadere. When he was dropping back to 7f previously running over 1m. He’s 66/1 Korombi 13/2 was 1L behind Rayif in the Guineas. The draws against him but Rouget will have him prepped for this day and he has two runs in his legs. |

Con Hill didn't beat much at Chester and was well-ridden coming round the bend, his draw leaves something to be desired and despite drifting this morning is still firm favourite. Faith required to put money on him imho.
Gosden has supplemented Oxagon, presumably at huge cost, it's hard to see why he bothered but I'll chance a little there and my other 50p is on the unbeaten German Gostam. GL all |

You have said you have had bet, then you say you are waiting? What is it that's stopping you just putting the bet up? All the information which no doubt people can find themselves if they are actually bothered enough, but nothing remotely like a bet. If anyone doesn't need any advice regarding telling people nothing.
