Stats tables are back - so now just have to get used to it.

I had planned to hold off until Saturday before sending this to the RP but I think we have enough comment to get them thinking so will send it now and then round up all further signatures/comments after the weekend and re-send to the RP.
Thanks all for engaging. |

& if the rpr table under stats does come back before the race (eg for Ayr 14:12) - can we now even trust the numbers it contains ?
|
|
By:
apart from the auto response with help desk ticket numbers anyone actually had any reply from RP ?
|
|

Now been right thru the cards and all meetings have some data tables present for some races and still plenty missing.

I called the cancellation line told them about this petition/thread. I explained to him the high level of frustration amongst Betfair users.
I asked him where I could send a cut & paste of this to get seen by management. He told me to send it to the general help@racingpost email address . I have just done this, marked urgent. I'll post back on here if/when I hear back. |

I get the same message. Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.racingpost.com (see the browser console for more information). I have cleared everything and tried different browsers but all the same. I use IPad. Please anybody any ideas how to fix it? |

more and more problems appear the more you use it. My latest is that I went through some cards last night and using the "exclude" button I removed horses that I didn't want to consider. They are all back now

I get the same message using my Chromebook, but the site functions on my mobile phone and tablet. I'm wondering if the issue for me is that my Chromebook is now several years old and doesn't get updates any longer, meaning it soon becomes incompatible when sites update, e.g. I can't access Spotify on it now. Clearing cookies/cache and so on made no difference for me either. How old is the iPad you're using ? I might just have to bite the bullet and invest in a new Chromebook. |
|
By:
Signed. Not that I can access the cards on my laptop now in any case.
Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.racingpost.com (see the browser console for more information). Chrome, Edge, clearing cache and cookies, turning the computer off and on again ... nothing works except disabling Javascript, which means you can no longer view the horse's form. I'm not buying a new laptop. I've now realised that I don't actually need the Racing Post racecards. |

.The Racing Post is now a TOTAL DOGS BREAKFAST, they have totally destroyed the website, the bean counting suits they employed to change it have totally mangled the site, previously it had a very clean layout even racing newbies could navigate...thats what its all about bringing in new people into horse racing...not pricing them out and presenting them with websites that are hard to understand and navigate...The Racing Post did a lot for UK racing and actually made racing accessible to a huge potential betting public this is now isolating racing from the masses...they need to go back to the clean easy to navigate site FAST

About 8 years old. But I can still download updates for it. |

What did she say Irons? I'm sure we're all in complete agreement with her!

We are,WP.
She said that she didn't like it |

Apologies if already covered but trying to navigate the new site for the first time. Issue is that only "predictor" is available and "verdict" and "tips" is greyed out. The verdict I use quite regularly. Racing Post plus subscriber
|
|
By:
It's there - you just need to use teh guide available to you rather than giving up just because you don't like the set up.
|
|
By:
Verdict is highlighted in black as it's furthest left the other two (verdict and predictor) are working but appeared greyed out (even though they arent)
its going to take time to sort through what is worthwhile using and what to ignore I dont particularly like new layout but things change and we will have to get on with it... |
|
By:
sorry tips and predictor
|
|
By:
Verdict and tips is grey for me mate only predictor I'm bold. Trying to clear cache etc now. Some farce
|
|
By:
Im not a subscriber but can access all three = Verdict is highlighted in black but the other two do work for me when I click on them

The way the end of the year blends into the the Racecourse name on the form comment really bugs me! This might seem like just a small grievance but this along with how much space on the page is allocated to each horse and the amount of white space is making form study a really unpleasant process for me
|
|
By:
To put this is into context, studying form ranks very highly in one of my favourite things to do...or used to be anyway. For the record, I've not had a bet again today

You have to ask yourselves why they needed to change an excellent product

The cynic in me would suggest it's to hinder the punter and to help the bookmakers win more

signed. Site is now slow and unresponsive. I was looking at next Sunday's racing at Uttoxeter, clicked on the 15:27 and it took me to the 14:22.
Whatever I clicked on it took me to the 14:22. This is not what I am paying for. |
|
By:
That's a good point, Parasang.
I too have found it to be far more ponderous than it used to be, conscious of the red loading bar laboriously making its way across the top. I can only think it's because of the additional bookmaker offers that have appeared since the update. |

just sent them an e-mail tonight asking for years subscription back, don't know if i'll get it though. it's weird how the greyhound section is just the same as it has always been. cheers.

They must be in collaboration with the gambling commission in trying to make life as difficult as possible for those who enjoy gambling om racehorses. With a combination of the 2 giant mistakes, many folk will give it up as a bad job, never to return. New RP site absolute rubbish cant even access the rpr/topspeed etc data boxes for most races, why remove them from the racecard page?. Not spreadsheet friendly either. i wont be renewing my annual subscription next month unless things improve dramactically
