We were watching Murphy on the runner-up there.  Looked uncomfortable the whole way round, he's ridden winners but we dont think he trusts the track.

Glasgow Calling - Jason Watson on Koodini ?  Pulled away from a gap to go for one on the rail that didnt exist.?

Watch the race again. Gap up the rails was defo there. Fentiman cut him up.

Stewards - An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, when FURTURRA, unplaced, ridden by Duran Fentiman, interfered with KOODINI (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson. Fentiman was suspended for 4 day for careless riding as he had moved gradually left-handed after the cutaway, at the same time as KOODINI (IRE) had improved to his inside, resulting in Watson having to take a significant check on the rails.

I  appreciate that, my point was he seemed to switch the horse too early, if he waits another few seconds he has a gap to get a bus through.

tale of the tape
tom MAQ with a face like a pish pot told itv the track was like an ice rink and dangerous
tried to convince stewards to call meeting off
when stewards give go ahead
tom MAQ refused to ride a 2yr old in next race
got his retainer haggis to withdraw the 2nd fav from big race
then went back in to see the stewards and beg them to let him ride on the last 2 races on the ice rink and dangerous track

Clerk of the course has said that they are going to water. Quote 'She said: “We were going to water anyway tonight, but we’ll be reviewing the amount we’re going to put down.

"I'd expect we will be putting on more than we originally planned to do, probably in the region of 10mm."

Putting MORE on folks, MORE on. What an absolute clown. Someone from the BHA needs to tell her that its not Chepstow and its not the Welsh National!

Until these poxy racecourses stop watering their courses to affect the going, we are gonna have these issues.  By all means lightly water to keep the grass alive but too many go for this "safe ground" sh1te, the worst culprits being Epsom and Goodwood.
If it is has been wet, they do not extract the water, so when it is dry, we should have fast ground.  End of.

They pick up pay checks and hardly ever agree on the ground, bad judges and tippers, just ride the horses and hush up.

Imagine that the Derby winner and Coronation Cup winner both won on that track today then ask Tom about that!

So Wednesday's racing passes without incident...clerk of the course waters on Wednesday night...jockeys on Thursday complain the bend is like an ice rink...so clerk of course announces she'll put another 10mm on Thursday night...makes sense.

Light, daily watering causes the grass roots to stay near the surface, causing the turf to be easily disturbed by foot traffic.
Anyone with basic knowledge of turf management would know that.
The amounts and frequency of watering last week have caused this issue.
I wonder how much training in turf management the clerk has undertaken...

Lanark top right hand bend was considered to be the most sharpest in the country (in all type of weather)….

Ridden on by some of the best to grace the turf, never heard of any complaints tbh…..

Changed days now though……

All this college stuff to learn about grass growth……Yawn…..

Not the spirit that made us Great!

It's a geographical term as in 'Greater' Britain and just 'Britain'.  Go on - look on a map and see how many 'greaters' there are all over the world. It's amazing how many 'patriotic' people are ignorant of this part of their heritage......

I was also comparing the situation yesterday to the Weetabix advert and how we are not so , “Great” but more of a shambles. A tongue in cheek joke that you missed.

The comment about Tom Maq downing tools was in my eyes a reflection of the younger generations lack of grit, to roll their sleeves up and get on with things. Which eventually he did!!

Those younger than these are even worse and at least Papa Egan said it how it was and got on with it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2ZZiIeuwRE&t=1s

The rest in the stewards room looked like a bunch of drama queens and it was funny to see Billy in there ahead of more experienced riders giving his view.

....Noticed while watching on TV the COC said " one of the horses slipped " then minutes later one of the jockeys said 3 or 4 slipped. Laugh My guess is Elanor knows more about PR than Track management.
