Summer sport, your'e knackered if you own a fast ground loving rnr.
Turning tight track, they'll struggle to stop 'em slipping now.

think the problem is watering during the meeting

far better to put an inch on 3 days before it starts then leave it alone

I blame the 'times' gurus some of whom claimed it was between good to firm and firm which was nonsense. perfect flat racing ground yesterday

Yep, one race inside standard yesterday (admittedly potential Derby winner) and another race close to RP standard time, so presumably without any rain it's only going to get quicker...Damned if they do and damned if they don't!

The races won’t be run at that pace later, just scrap the next 5f sprint.

In the first yesterday that Billy The Kid won he almost brought his horse down by running up the back of one, it clearly stumbled and he was lucky.
No mention of that just applause for ridding a winner.

I'm sure there is a course in the UK where the going is sometimes described as "hard" and they still race there in the heart of the summer...

You're running your Classic / Group horses / potential stallion(s) there today and you hear the clerk otc saying they're going cut it and sand it and then we'll have another look...It's hardly going to fill you with confidence?
