I agree with the original post. No horse has attracted so much attention for effectively beating up rubbish. They can't keep running him in this type of race. What happens when he actually meets something decent and gets beaten? How far would Calandagan beat him? Can't see too many threads about that horse. It's the way of the world, and particularly flat racing, people just overdose on hype.

I love seeing old horses parade so am very happy to buy into the hype of seeing CH running even if it is a novice at Kempton.

There’s a thread on Dubai World Cup night where you can say if he’s a good thing. Is this the same horse by the way that people like Trapman was calling soft? But showed how strong his constitution IS by starting his season in Dubai and finishing with victory in the Japan Cup in December? Asking how far he’d beat him is a pointless comparison Diff. |

Constitution Hill is a superstar and deserves all the attention he gets. I've watched NH since 1973 and I haven't seen a better hurdler than Constitution Hill since Golden Cygnet won the Supreme back in 1978. Golden Cygnet went on to Ayr and was about to beat some of the all time greats of hurdling when taking a tragic fall at the last during the Scottish Champion Hurdle. Constitution Hill holds the Cheltenham 2 mile course record (recorded in the Supreme) in a time that would have won the same day's Champion Hurdle by a distance. |

I saw him pushing away from the turn into the straight. He was still 2 lengths down when Golden Cygnet fell.

I hope this supposedly mismatched race is not on tv otherwise the racing public will be sick of it the next time. Back to hurdles after several positive runs on the Flat perhaps.

Not often you see a performance and go wow, the last time I did that was Frankels first run, this should be 1/10 if not more odds on, the only thing that can beat it is it’s own quirks and prob why it’s 1/4 ? We shall see but the money buyers will see it as a one off opportunity of free money
