Semi joked about the flat. Heart broken though and at a loss to understand the pattern the horse is into now

Hendo said he'd not ask the horse to do it again.

Now, only when it's too late will they realize that they should have done more with him when he was on top all in all he will be remembered as an unfulfilled talent with one single signiature race .

Wrap them in cotton wool and they'll get soft, bred to race so race them.

change of yard would actually be the last throw of the dice. though exceptionally unlikely, obviously.

Cant see it happening Cider, but those were my first thoughts, give the horse to Skeltons for a complete change of scenery / training methods / feed etc and see what happens.
Obviously the trainer and owner have too strong a bond for that to happen.

There is more chance of Delbert being a member of MENSA than a change of Yard

Relative peace and serenity whilst Delbert was in his Secure Unit.

ASonOfWottonBassett • November 28, 2025 8:33 PM GMT
I'm still relatively new hear. Do you contribute anything to the forum apart from pathetic trolling?

ASonOfWottonBassett • November 28, 2025 8:43 PM GMT
You appear unwell. I'll leave it there.

Replies from. one of your next targets last night when you had no one else to bother with! Everything is relative and I’d say give it a kick someone as the needle has gotten stuck for some time LP! Laugh

The CH that won the Supreme would pick these up and carry them.

Wow that’s some statement! Laugh  cliches come easy to you? Can you tell us all before the race where his career went wrong? What they need to do today?

Was it the jockey? Was it tactics? Was it not having much scope? Or being over rated? There’s a few reasons for you

Absolutely packed today, tweed suits all over...

Good to see racing thriving at Newcastle.

Rain held off until after fighting fifth

Sad to see constitution hill chasing after field, riderless
put could have been worse... Surely they cant
send it out again,

He still has a huge engine and you can tell he loves to gallop from his enthusiastic way of going. He's not had a ton of racing and I believe he can still make his mark on the Flat

Horses that reproduce their best form for 3 seasons are rare enough. 4 seasons even rarer. Not unusual to spit the dummy out after a couple of years at the top. I owned a share in a horse who was a great jumper for 3 years but then went to pieces. I still wonder if horses lose some of their eyesight-not completely but like most humans it might get worse. It would explain a lot of falls. The New Lion showed a different worrying trend. He looked to run out at one hurdle. I can't see Mullins running Lossiemouth in the mares hurdle in March.

the horse still thinks he's capable of doing what he did 3 or 4 years ago. his body won't allow

can't see the owner wanting run in 2k to the maiden winner on the flat

only 2 options retire or give the xmas hurdle ago

If CH sees Nico again he will go on strike and refuse to run Laugh
By:
punchestown
When: 29 Nov 25 19:44
TNL looked beaten to me when it fell, going left handed like that just before the fall

Anzadam not the horse they thought it was/is if it couldn't pick up the pieces here.

The closeness of Nemean Lion at the death throws a bit of a shadow on everything.

Golden Ace very honest horse who has a handy habit of nearly always being in the right place at the right time

Constitution Hill shouldn't face a jump from now on,they've got away with 3 very heavy falls in the last 4 runs and would be reckless to go again.

It is not a new flaw.
He did it at the last when winning the Champion Hurdle in 2023.
He got away with it that day and in the International hurdle last season.
Sadly 3 of his last 4 runs he has not.

Some of the comments blaming the jockey, the trainer, the tactics are ridiculous.
It has always been there.

He did it on debut in a point to point.

Telling comment from Nicky when chasing was put forward as an option. "Someone would get hurt. We won't do it" I suspect from this that they have quietly schooled him over fences some foggy morning and he's no good at it. This leaves a flat career or retirement as the only viable options left. A shame really.
