If something nasty happens to Constitution Hill over jumps Hendo will be the No 1 villian of jump racing. He'll go down in history as the trainer who puts his own ego before safety and welfare of a horse. He'd be ostracised by the sport. And, even the Royal Family will distance itself from him.

If hes working as well as they say then he has to run on the flat. Sea Pigeon won the Ebor aged 9.

But Sea Pigeon started on the flat and ran in the Derby as I recall. CH has a jumping pedigree.

I think Sea Pigeon was close to top rated 2yo.  Might even have been a/p fav. for the Derby at one stage.

7th in the Derby hardly equates to unraced 9YO,does it.

Not sure there are any flat maidens worth less than £3000 to the winner but still not worth the effort surely? If he won in a  very fast time they might be encouraged to wait for a valuable flat race next year. The fall of TNL was different in that he was tiring under pressure and having his first ever hurdle race over 2 miles so going a lot quicker than in any of his novice races. If he did it again it would be a worry.

I can remember posting on a thread about Constitution Hill before he ever fell that I thought one day he could clip the top of the hurdles and come a cropper and since I said that he has fell 3 timesSad.  Hope I didnt jinx himSad

Given that TNL thought about refusing at a hurdle even before he eventually fell I'd be less inclined to be backing him next time than CH (if indeed there is a next time for CH).

The New Lion seemed to run out to the left when he fell aswell.

Which narrows down the Champion Hurdle to Lossiemouth and Golden Ace in my book. A lot can happen before March but they have the best form in the race.

I am fairly confident that TNL will not be ridden from the front

The rancid is an incompetent production. Hendo and Buckley darent risk hurdles again. Chances are he falls again and the law of averages sadly suggest he could injure himself irreparably. They can't risk that as they will never be forgiven. Gotta be retirement.

If connections do adopt a sicko approach and run him over hurdles again please, ensure no camera - commercial or private mobile - is recording or in the vicinity. I do not want to see the foolish and stupid behaviour of connections, and the event.
