I have never bought the idea that Kalpana wants soft ground. She just won a very poorly contested race on that surface. I don't believe that it's been impossible to find another race on similar ground in two years. I suggested she dogged it last time and now cheekpieces are on for a reason. On several occasions she has been produced to win and hasn't gone through with it. I think people have got carried away with Blue Stocking winning in the same colours.

I contributed to the thread on the race unlike some ;) who’ve never put up a selection or even an opinion for or against any runners!

Fair enough Diff for giving yours and yes I agree that they could have found a G1 in Germany with soft for instance. That win at Ascot last year and her colours is the only reason I can see as to why she was made Fav.

He’s been trained for the race skipped their Derby CUTH especially for this. They Sid that they were willing to come home if he hadn’t of performed in the race at Deauville, even the jockey CP Lemaire was taken by him that day. He’s still talking up Crox Du Nord as class which I find very odd.

Alohi Alii has finished ahead of his conqueror Museum Mile who has won since on his return in Japan franking the form.

CP has no doubt he’ll get the trip and Sid that he could have gone faster at Deauville, where he won despite unsatisfactory work beforehand.

Having watched Murphy’s horse work I think that he over stated that it needs fast ground.

Seems fine on soft, but he’ll need luck in running as he’s a hold up horse.

Give an opinion and stop catching flies man.

I felt "chilled" about Ace Impact. I feel "happy" about Aventure. The only fly in the ointment is Minnie Hauk; the wfa concession. The rest I'd like to think Aventure has the edge over. I'm not confident, but I'm happy to be in her camp.

This result is not as important financially nor significant as Ace Impact going forward for my accas.

White Birch is my nemesis. Each time I backed him its jockey (Keane) left his riding cap in the toilet. Joseph's jock could be the difference, the trip a stretch too far, I think. It's last race was a prep race.

I think the horse is destined to be sold at a Sale post the race.

Adventure 2nd last year, ridden by Stephanie pasquier,
He rides sosie this year, same owner as adventure.
