it’s the oligarch’s that will have the influence to get what they want, the opinions they have enforced on the public and the politicians will be funded from all angles distorting democracy.

Petitions and protests mean nothing. It'll be introduced as a temporary or emergency measure.
Defence of the Realm Act (DORA, 1914) – introduced censorship, press control, and state powers in WWI. Most expired, but ideas used in later Emergency Powers Acts. Emergency Powers Act (1939) – large-scale controls on movement, employment, property. The apparatus fed into postwar nationalisation and rationing. Control Orders (2005) and later TPIMs – pitched as short-lived, now an ongoing feature of UK anti-terror law. Investigatory Powers Act (2016) – legalised and entrenched surveillance powers first claimed as temporary anti-terror measures. COVID-19 emergency powers (2020) – many expired, but some data collection and health surveillance practices have been retained or normalised. Congestion charging and Clean Air Zones – often framed as pilot/emergency trials, then made permanent Income Tax (1799, revived 1842) – wartime tax against Napoleon, later institutionalised There are dozens of "temporary/emergency" measures e.g. Passenger air duty, NI, PAYE, Fuel duty etc., but there's a common pattern: crisis creates public tolerance for state overreach. Then it's dead easy to enshrine measures in law. Fail to repeal the law and it's become permanent. Job done. |
|
By:
this will be so permanent you will have never seen as permanent before.
Starmer doing his best to incite civil unrest to achieve id’s look at the appointments giving the finger to the public his motivation for being in politics is a worry |

So with the dynamic there would be with digital ID cards governments would realise that if they create bad situations for their public they can literally induce bribes from companies and other governments and they become incredibly powerful and more and more corrupt over time. Society becomes a dystopian nightmare.
‘so imagine an oligarch that really does not approve of gambling and the current government who rose to power with their funding (think the $120million crypto that helped the current president get elected) so the government want to say thanks and give all those biometrically linked with gambling accounts bad credit. Gambling companies make political donations to the government to enable this to be seen more favourably. Distorts any form of democracy or freedom of any kind for their public.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SxPyw79vJU |

those identified via their ID cards who do not conform have their finances frozen or confiscated overnight. if they continue to be funded by others they will be removed from society there will be drones used to follow and monitor them on a daily basis. everyone will be controlled there facial scans recognised immediately no matter who they. normal people will be visited by drones there will be no face to face as ghettos become no go zones for politicians. the hardware and software is there now for this to happen.
use your vote to deny digital ID’s. |
|
By:
your voice and vote would be lost as you would not dare vote for anything other than the hand that fed you as your families ability to eat would be threatened otherwise. a government who wants a different religion in any given country, no problem … you do as you are told by us that’s it we can do anything we want. think of the worst elections around the world and treble it.

They already know how you vote . Have you not noticed the numbered counterfoil they remove from your voting paper . Its supposed to check if you have voted but it can also be used to prove how.

If digital ID cards are issued you can be sure they will contain chips that enable tracking of the
person's whereabouts vis the facial recognition cameras that will sprout up all over the country soon after. This technology has been proven very effective in China where Police can demand to examine the contents on your phone at any time and if it has banned content/access to bannes sites the person can be arrested. It wouldn't happen immediately here but inch by inch. A major act of terrorism would give the Government of the time an excuse to enforce draconian laws. Am I a 'looney' for thinking this way? Look at recent Police behaviour. Investigating people for social media posts. Arresting a woman for thinking a prayer. I have never been on a protest march but if the there is an attempt made to bring in Digital ID cards I'll be out there with the millions of others that I'm sure will oppose such a move. I am not a number! |

Larry Ellison (second richest man in the world behind Musk and also half way to becoming a trillionaire through AI) just acquired a surveillance company. He believes there will be a better behaved society in future.
better behaved = doing exactly what you are told according to his beliefs whether right or wrong or else |
|
By:
no doubt larry is happy but if you fink hes interested in what you get up to you are stretching his ambition a tad far
gazillionaire sits there wondering what to do with the lucre and comes up with 'i will set up a surveillance company so i can impose my values likes and dislikes on everyone in every corner of the globe(if globes have corners) sounds about right |

Bring it on, I say. ID cards have been around for many decades in some developing countries in SE Asia for security reasons eg a fight against insurgents or communists backed by neighbouring countries.
A digital id is no different. To me it's merely an extension of a biometric residency card with additional personal info attached. UK Plc is so soft even though it's rife with illegal immigration and illegals. A non-compulsory policy of carrying any form of ID at any time is crass, to say the least. It's a waste of police time, and a godsend for criminals and illegals. But, the illegals and criminals will gladly offer personal info to providers of mobile contracts, mobile registration to manufacturers for guarantee eg Apple, welfare benefits, financial institutions in the City and anything that procures freebies for nothing. This is long overdue. And, for those arguing against personal freedom may I refer them to countries like China, Russia, North Korea, Burma, etc. Just deal with it or move to pastures new eg China and Russia. I'd advocate finger printing every individual in UK Plc. This is full-proof. There are already too many illegals in UK Plc costing UK Plc a shed load of money. |
