I never played golf to any standard but was lucky that during Alevels I and a small group were given clearance to go play as part of of PE curriculum.

only seen the slow mo once, looked like it moved about 2 millimetres to me. he gained no advantage, 2 strokes penalty is very harsh. one of golfs stupid rules. lowry handled it very well.

My mate had those Delashay!....I remember him saying they were Beryllium.....stunning looking clubs..He has changed them since but still misses them

Hah classic! I changed too got graphite shafts and the bend on the swing made the ball go all over the place!
Didn’t Ping have a club that was banned? I’m sure a few have been, but remember my dad saying when I got them, thought I’d got an edge  ! |

I remember him describing them as "really soft" in golfing terms anyway.
I had only just started when playing when he had them and remember being very jealous of both how they looked and how he played. |

I was starting out in my teens and had found a set near mint in a thrift store. With the exchange rate back then it was a real bargain!
Went back to them as they just felt better. Think we all get suckered in upgrading to new design and materials. Haven’t played in a while, last time was with family who are golf mad in Florida and Phoenix. One of their husbands has a low low handicap & big headed with it! I beat him at horse shoes though! Have a good one and enough the coverage all. |

i think the beryllium copper irons were alot more expensive than the standard ping eye 2 irons, but they did offer a much softer feel. not much use to anyone over a 5 handicap. anyone can fire a rifle, but it takes a marksman to hit the target.

Sry to say but you would be a tradesman’s nightmare Dela. In particular a left handed butcher is a big issue on a shared table. But to be as ambi. as you is pretty useful.

Don’t know but I made the same observation. They just search for something to say to pad out the broadcast, I think, and end up waffling.
Two of the males raved and raved about Jon Rahm’s brilliance on Irish links and how he would rip this Open up ( in other words stay tuned to us and you’ll see it ) revered and anticipated his brilliance as if he was God. No he’s just a very decent championship golfer. It gets to the point you just switch on the mute because they talk to us as if we know absolutely nothing. Please don’t all answer at once “in your case it’s true”. |

I don’t recall it but can picture it! I was still asked to use my right hand early on and when I went to guitar lessons at school was given a right hand only guitar!
You can guess how that went. Watching Michelson swing still looks unnatural and odd to me however! But a cricketer doesn’t. |
