1Tp, thé defence has no influence on accepting the chargers,
Or scope of charges, as you suggest.

The DPP issue the charges, the defence only role is to
Defend each of the charges. They went to trial, and lost, they
Now have two choices, a re-trial or appeal the severity of the sentence ?

The banks at Avebury are dipped like that not as much, but it allows for ten minutes more sunlight at one of the solstices.

The lone tree is the photographers dream, a symbol of standing strong and survival.

Just can’t fathom why anyone would think of doing it? I’ve had a bad day …. Followed all of whatyoulookingat’s tips and increased my stake on his last. Grin

Can they really increase that Glasgow ???, their briefs
Will of already advised them that by pleading not guilty
And been found guilty, that they were likely to get x.

Can’t imagine they will of been told a custodial sentence
Was likely, if so, it will more than likely be suspended

So to get 4 years and 3 months, not sure they have anything
To lose, but to appeal ??

4 years 3 months serving 40% they have had a result.  But you could say the sentence starts when they get out. Likely will move from the area and identity change handy.  Should be OK living next to Honcho though.

What a load of cod.  “Forgiver” my rsss.  Never once have I justified their actions.  I have been, and will continue to be critical of the cloying, brainwashed sanctimony which has pervaded the whole issue.

Still not one virulent critic of the tree fellers has promised to sponsor ( or plant themselves ) a sapling to augment their beloved tree community and redress this situation, even in a small way.   Laugh

Omar at all you phoney hogwash.   Cool Love

about anyone's feelings, and most people don't give a feck
about them when retribution calls..

in another world theres an outcome ,where those defending these 2 /sentence to severe etc, would be saying they got longer than a lady telling 100,s or riiters to burn down a hotel possibly murdering dozens of people, but of course that doesnt work for them here ,no matter how they perm it because its 3 white uk nationals committing the crimes

A single sycamore tree, growing in a natural dip in the countryside along Hadrian's Wall, came to symbolise a community. When the people of Northumberland wake to discover it has been chopped down overnight, it leads to a news story that makes headlines around the world. Who destroyed the tree at Sycamore Gap and why?

BBC2 tonight at 7:30 (on iplayer NOW).

Suspended Labour MP Mike Amesbury has been jailed for 10 weeks after he admitted punching a man to the ground in his Cheshire constituency.

This sort of thing is two tier justice. The sloshed MP had to be pulled off the guy. Had no control.

Four years seems a lot but will be out in less than 2 years. Maybe still a little unfair but there are far bigger injustices than 2 lowlifes being locked away for a while. I won't waste any sympathy on them.

Whilst what they did was despicable and brainless, fuelled by alcohol, four years three months prison sentence for criminal damage is insane. Six months with an order to undertake community service a far more fitting sentence.

Completely agree Delashay Two tier justice when criminal damage for cutting a tree down gets a tariff 25 times longer than criminal violence for an MP attacking somebody in the streets, fuelled by alcohol.

Thanks Storm, it’s a bitter taste for many because I’m sure that we all think that if Joe bloggs had done that the punishment would be worse.

I’m waiting to see how this ends up:

Ricky Jones case delayed for another 7 months!! How convenient? It is as if they want us to forget about the Two Tier justice system we have in the UK.

Anyone on here really believe Carruthers drank a bottle of whisky before going out in the pitch black on the night of Storm Agnes and did a perfect felling of a large tree ?  The judge didn't. Highly likely his drinking made up like his previous story of a trip to Gateshead restaurant. I would guess both were stone cold sober.

The action was to hurt people.  Maybe the council but more likely people in general.  It was the plan of a sociopath  and he got the village idiot to do it.

That’s what they are doing RICO to who they see as opponents. It’s a shame no precedent has been set for knife crime and that they shy away from giving a mandatory one just for carrying.

I believe the Jones trial has been put off twice, might be wrong but all the time that’s taking to resolve and money that it’s costing for his no guilty plea when it’s obvious is a joke.

It’s also completely different to the swift hard  justice handed out to the so called spar blight motesters.

Two tier in action.

you think

That’s an awfully big assumption to make.

Can we make clear if YOU THINK that what Rick Jones said and gestured on camera was ok?

Or was he merely showing his true self? Do you share such thoughts and hate for those yourself too that you call the Tight?
